The scratch score is determined by finding the average score of all the rated players' scores for a round, then adjusting for how far below 1000 that average is.

That is pretty cool, although I'm not certain how it works. So 1000 is what a "scratch" golfer would shoot on the same course? and your rating is 1000 - (that "scratch" score - your score X 10)? How is the "scratch" score determined?

I hope everyone had a good time. Thanks to David Dunham, Byron Wood, Marc Darby and Doo Rag for helping get the courses in shape. Thanks to Lisa Usury and Beverly Wagoner for checking score cards and assembling Am prizes, thanks to Bill McCarty for taking charge of the boards and thanks to Jonathan Ray for running the skins.

I am having a little trouble with my home computer so I will post the results tomorrow morning from my work machine and send the spreadsheet to John K for official posting. Here is the recap.

There were 74 players: 26 Pros and 48 Ams. The payout for the Pros was 198% and the Ams was 101%. The total value of the event was $4,244. Cameron Colglazier won Open by 15 strokes and took home $408 for first. Ken Priest won the Pro Masters $231, Barry Gill the Pro Grand Masters $231 and Danny Daniels the Pro Senior (Great) Grand Masters $185. Vicki Palmer won the Women Pro Masters $222. The biggest money winner was Clayton Nash with $245 second place, $217 in skins and the Pro ace pot.

The older crowd was representing with B. Gill & D. Daniels in the skins match.

I want everyone who comes in on Friday to register on Friday. This will help a lot come Saturday morning and cut down on the rush. I'll be in campsite 23. The players pack for all am divisions will include a tournament disc, a custom mini, two disposable tooth brushes, an Innova decal and a Discraft decal. The MSRP for the disc alone is $20. I am valuing the players pack at $12.

Only the first 50 ams to register are guaranteed a players pack. After that I will allow anyone to purchase a tournament disc for $12 as long as they last. I should have about 25 or so left.

I'll be heading for the park around noon. After that I will be off the internet until Tuesday. If anyone has a question you only have a few hours to ask it on this forum and get a reply.

I just spoke to the park. As yet there are no reservations for a bunk house, but there must be at least 8 people to open one up. The cost is $8.50 a night. I have guaranteed that I will make up any shortfall of the minimum payment of $68 out of sponsorship money if there are less than 8 people for the initial unit.

So yes, Griff, at least one bunk house will be available. If that one fills up then another will be opened and so it goes. The folks can spread out as long as there are at least 8 people per bunk house.

The weekend weather forecast is lows in the 50s and 60s with highs in the 70s and 80s. No rain. This ought to be perfect weather for camping and disc golf. I will be down early on Friday so come by campsite 23 and register. Look for the neon palm trees.

Bill, I plan to be at the Fall Classic, but I will put your disc in the care of Mr. McCarty who will see you before I do.
