Two rounds, with a 9 AM tee-off due to short daylight and a large field. All divisions except Novice & Am Ladies will play the pro (silver) tees the second round, and the regular tees the first round. Lunch will be served, free of charge, sponsored by [b][color=orange]HOOTERS[/color][/b], featuring Hooters wings, jambalaya, and Quality P cobbler! Tony B glad you liked the pro tees. Sometimes I think the pro tees should have the nice signs. And actually we would have made nice signs for the pro tees by now but the park has plans to relocate the course somewhere else within the boundaries of the 1300 acre park, so that's the story on that. I thought the pro tees really made the course much more interesting! Especially numbers 1, 2, 7, 11, 15, and 16. Those holes made me think on the tee box, which is usually a sign of good course design. Glad I came down!!

Also for anybody who goes hunting for disc, I have a green Blizzard Boss on 11 on the tee box side in the water, then a Blue Star Boss on the basket side of 11, a Orange Star Destroyer (tye dye) somewhere near the bridge on 18, and Green Blizzard Katana on 1 about halfway between the tree and the basket. I need to give a big thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped out in so many different ways yesterday...but especially the folks who cooked the food: Pat Fisher---Hooter's wings, Uncle Karl and Big Brown---jambalaya, and Quality P Trophy Wife Kacy--- blueberry, cherry and new apple flavor cobbler!

The food must have been good because everyone was in a really good mood the second round even as they threw a few discs in the water on long 18.

Also I would again like to thank our all of our sponsors, including a few who surprised sponsored on Saturday morning---JUDGES from Jackson, Rob Williams, Don Perkins, and Sam Nolan and there might have been another but I got kinda busy and forgot to write it down. It gets hectic at tournament central! I was a little off my TD game yesterday, but fortunately Chuck Burdine from Biloxi showed up like a superhero and picked up my slack. People kept asking me who Chuck was and I would joke "I don't know but he's running one heck of a tournament!" Chuck you will do great running the Biloxi tournament on Feb 2.

Definitely need to thank all the folks who donated and brought out all the ice and water, fine folks like Jason Kimbell, Royden, Joe & Nancy B, Alan Kansas, and a couple others. Also thanks to the NO Team Course Maintenance Squadron including Chief Red Bull Keith, Hum Brouphy, Steve Timm, Mark the Shark, Joe B, Blessed Lettuce, Ben Fox, and everyone else who helped prepare the course and signs.

Big thanks to Brooks for bringing the tents! And to El Presidente Rob for running the raffle so well. We raised $244 in the raffle which will all be used for expenses for the 2013 Pot of Gold.

Finally, let me thank all of the PLAYERS for being such a fun and well-behaved bunch. I think even with all that we set up and took down out there, we might have left the course cleaner than it has been since Voodoo Fest. We were blessed with guests from as far as Arkansas, Texas, and San Diego. Hole 1: Lagoon is OB. On or across sidewalk/road is OB. Gravel road is in-bounds. Roof of building is OB. Inside building is in-bounds.

Hole 2: Lagoon is OB. Pro tee is inside abandoned building.

Hole 3: No OB.

Hole 4: On or across railroad tracks is OB. Beware of hidden drain on the right side of the pro fairway.

Hole 5: On or across railroad tracks is OB. Shelter is OB.

Hole 6: On or across railroad tracks is OB. Water is casual, not OB.

Hole 7: On or across sidewalk/road is OB. Shelter is OB.

Hole 8: On or across sidewalk/road is OB.

Hole 9: On or across sidewalk/road is OB.

Hole 10: On or across sidewalk/road is OB.

Hole 11: Lagoon is OB. On or across sidewalk/road is OB. PRO TEE GROUND RULE: On the drive from the pro tee, if the disc comes to rest OB, no matter where (including beyond the basket), the next shot, with a one-stroke penalty, is played from the drop zone which is Am Tee #11. Subsequent OB throws will be marked where they were last in-bounds.

Hole 12: Lagoon is OB.

Hole 13: Lagoon is OB. On or across sidewalk/road is OB. Over fence is OB.

Hole 14: Over fence is OB. On top of metal bulk containers is OB. There is a Mando on the Pro tee. Must pass to the right of the scoreboard. Drop zone is a re-tee.

Hole 15: Track is OB.

Hole 16: Lagoon is OB. On or across sidewalk/road is OB.

Hole 17: On or across sidewalk/road is OB.

Hole 18: Lagoon is OB. On or across sidewalk/road is OB. There is a Mando for all divisions. Must pass to the left of the Mando tree. Drop Zone is to the left of the Mando tree.


And of course don't forget the famous "Kernan Rule" will be in effect. This rule pertains to the lagoon that will be in play on Holes 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 16 & 18. To be OB in the lagoon, the disc must be completely submerged. If it is partially above the water surface and touching any land or vegetation it is IN-BOUNDS. However, if the player can not take a stance one meter from the disc, the disc is OB. Parking is going to be a struggle tomorrow. There is a brand new lot across the street from Hole 1---but you can't park there!!!! Unfortunately it opens next week and you will probably get a ticket if you drive through the barricade. Also since we are playing pro 1 you would be wise not to park anywhere near hole 1. We advise parking by 18's long basket placement (far enough away that your car won't get hit, or behind the old building by hole 2's tee box.

Tony Bass signed up in Open, so in honor of that if he wins we will add the $200 from Open into Pro Masters. Just kidding Tony! Love you man.

It could be foggy in the morning, and we want people to arrive safe so we will tee off at 9:15 rather than 9 am.

Also the tees are grass and could be a little moist and slick, so prepare accordingly.

Hole 10 pro tee is by the road now.
