<b><i>Registration</i></b><br />
<br />
Online registration will be handled through Disc Golf United.  This will be open, up and running tomorrow evening.  Online registration is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all players.<br />
<br />
In-person registration and pre-payment will be available starting tomorrow.  I will manually enter these on the DGU site to show a complete field of players.<br />
<br />
Snail mail registration and pre-payment will be available tomorrow.  These will also be added to the DGU site.<br />
<br />
If you register in-person or by mail, I need your names, shirt size preferences and contact information.  If you fall in to these categories and want the lodging option for your player's pack, please indicate this and I will inform you if it has or hasn't filled when your registration payment is received.<br />
<br />
THE FIELD WILL CAP AT 216 PLAYERS.<br />
<br />
ONLY PLAYERS WITH SN POINTS FOR THE 2012/2013 SEASON WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THIS EVENT, NO EXCEPTIONS OR EXEMPTIONS.<br />
<br />
THIS TOURNAMENT WILL BE 100% PRE-REGISTER AND PRE-PAY.  THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO WALK UP REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED AND NO I.O.U.s.<br />
<br />
In order to restrict sign ups to players with SN points, the DGU site will be set up with a registration code.  It is   <span style="color:red">2013SNDC</span>.  I will not post this information anywhere else but this site.<br />
<br />
By signing up and paying for this tournament, you are verifying that you have the required SN points and are eligible for the selected division based on current SN rules.  If you sign up without SN points or sign up for a division lower than one which you are eligible to play, you will be removed from the field and your entry fee will be refunded.  <br />
<br />
I ask for the players help and the SN BOD members to assist in policing ineligible players.<br />
<br />
<span style="color:green">The teams that won paid admission to the tournament throughout the year will be manually entered to the DGU website.  If you won, please contact me by PM or email and let me know your player's pack choice.</span><br />

Three pools on three courses - two rounds Saturday and one round Sunday - no finals, just three rounds of Disc Golf.<br />

<u>Format</u><br />
<br />
Heymann Park - Best Shot, all divisions, all rounds.<br />
<br />
Acadiana Park - Best Shot, all divisions, all rounds.<br />
<br />
Pa Davis - SOMETHING NEW - Best Score played from your partner's lie.  <br />
<br />
We decided to call it Best Scorelternate since it COMBINES Best Score and Alternate Shot.<br />
<br />
&quot;Say what?&quot;.  <br />
<br />
It is simple and best explained with an example using a three shot sequence.<br />
<br />
You and your partner both drive.  <br />
You throw your upshot from his drive's lie and he throws from yours.  <br />
You then putt from his upshot's lie and he putts from yours.<br />
He misses the putt and you make it.  <br />
Your team cards a 3 for the shot sequence of your drive - his upshot - your putt.<br />
<br />
In this example, both partners do not have to hole out once it becomes impossible for a better score to be carded.  <br />
<br />
Also, if you park it under the basket and your partner hits a tree 20 ft off the tee and goes OB, you may abandon the shot sequence starting with his drive and play the hole out as a &quot;normal&quot; alternate shot starting with your drive - basically your drive and his tap in putt for a score of 2.<br />

<b><i>Schedule</i></b><br />
<br />
<u>Friday, July 5th</u> <br />
<br />
Early bird check-in at Acadiana Park starting at noon.  Check in, collect your player's pack and play a practice round or two if you wish.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Saturday, July 6th</u><br />
<br />
Late bird check-in starting at 8:00 AM at the picnic area at the Holiday Inn Holidome prior to the player's meeting.<br />
<br />
Player's meeting at the hotel's picnic area starting at 9:00 AM.  MANDATORY for all players.<br />
<br />
First round begins approximately 30 minutes after the player's meeting concludes, but no earlier than 10:00 AM.  The hotel is less than 10 minutes from all three parks.<br />
<br />
Lunch will be served at the picnic area between rounds, FREE OF CHARGE to all players.<br />
<br />
Second rounds begins approximately one hour after the last card from your pool is turned in.  All three pools may have different start times depending on how fast they play the first round.  This will be announced and posted at lunch.<br />
<br />
Player's party and skills competitions at the picnic area following the conclusion of the second round of play, lasting until 10:00 PM.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Sunday, July 7th</u><br />
<br />
Third round begins at 10:00 AM.  Players report directly to their respective parks - no Sunday morning player's meeting.<br />
<br />
An awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the third round of play.  Ace pot throw offs (if necessary) and rings-of-fire will be held while final scores are being tallied.<br />

<b><i>Player's Packs</i></b><br />
<br />
Two options are available for your player's pack, lodging or merchandise.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Lodging</u><br />
<br />
45 double occupancy rooms for Saturday night at the Holiday Inn Holidome will be offered as player's packs for this event on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis once registration opens.<br />
<br />
The lodging option is for YOUR TEAM, meaning this is the player's pack for YOU AND YOUR PARTNER ONLY AND SATURDAY NIGHT ONLY.<br />
<br />
If you opt for lodging, you will not receive any merchandise (shirts, discs, etc), just lodging.<br />
<br />
These rooms are either two double beds or a king and a sleeper sofa and most are non-smoking.  If you are extremely picky or your partner snores real loud or his feet stink real bad or any other reason that you might be dissatisfied with these arrangements, then the lodging player's pack is not for you - go with the merchandise.<br />
<br />
Last, but not least, Lafayette players are STRONGLY encouraged to leave the rooms open to our guests for this event and choose the merchandise packs.  I will audit this as sign ups progress and contact locals who select the lodging option.<br />

<b><i>Menu</i></b><br />
<br />
Our executive chef, Mr. David Roberts, and his crew will be working hard to make sure y'all eat good.<br />
 <br />
Lunch will be served FREE OF CHARGE following the first round of play at the picnic area at the Holiday Inn Holidome.  We are planning a BBQ lunch - burgers, chicken, sausage, etc - with a side dish or two, snacks and soft drinks.<br />
<br />
Dinner will also be served FREE OF CHARGE at the player's party Saturday night, at the same place as lunch.  We are gonna fire up the pit again and grill some fish, get the big black iron pot going with a seafood and sausage jambalaya, dish up some wings from Hooters and finish it off with some desert.  We will have water and soft drinks at dinner, but the player's party is BYOB.<br />

<b><i>Skills Competition</i></b><br />

Mr. Keith Bodin will be organizing the skills contests to be held at the picnic area at the hotel during the player's party.  Thanks to his hard work and generosity there will be over $1,000 of cold hard cash up for grabs in putting and accuracy.  The upshot portion will come first and takes place on 1-1/2 acres of a beautifully manicured and landscaped area next to the hotel.  The putting will follow on the tennis courts which are lit up in case we run out of daylight.  I'm sure Keith will want to provide a few more details.<br />

OVERVIEW<br />
<br />
Name of event: 2013 Wall Doxey Rumble in the Jungle Disc Golf Tournament<br />
<br />
Dates of competition: Saturday September 21st, and Sunday September 22nd, 2013<br />
<br />
Course Locations: Wall Doxey State Park 7 miles south of Holly Springs, Mississippi.  <br />
<br />
Tournament Director:  Gary Wagoner, 1558 W. Churchill Downs, Germantown, TN  38138.  Phone: (901) 756-0690 (evenings)    (901) 488-3121 (cell)<br />

Qualifiers:  Southern National Pro, Amateur &amp; Doubles Championships.  <br />
<br />
Mosquitoes, ticks and chiggers: Wall Doxey State Park is a primitive area and mosquitoes are an aggravation and ticks are particularly bad.    Everyone should bring insect repellant and apply it liberally to all exposed skin areas, belt lines and shoes.  You will be glad you did.  Watch out for local nuisances such as copper heads, yellow jackets, water moccasins and black widow spiders.<br />
<br />
Park Regulations:  Wall Doxey is a Mississippi State Park in a wet county.  Discrete consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed.  No smoking is allowed in any of the park buildings including the cabins and bunkhouses.  <br />
<br />
Park Entry Fee:  The $3/player reserves the disc golf courses for the exclusive use of the tournament participants.  It does not cover the standard park access fee of $3/car load.  If you are staying in a bunkhouse, campsite or cabin the park entry fee is included in your accommodation cost. <br />
<br />
Park Vendor Fee:  If you intend to sell discs, T-shirts or any other merchandize you will be required to purchase a $35 vendor permit from the park.<br />
<br />
Friday Doubles:  There is a tradition of a flip-up doubles Sunday afternoon.  This event is not sanctioned nor a part of the formal tournament.  Tee time and entry fee is dependant upon the whims of the assembled throng.  Casual play will be allowed during the pick-up doubles play since it is not a part of the overall tournament.<br />
<br />
Waiver of Liability:  Everyone participating in the event must sign the waiver promising not to sue the TD, Gary Wagoner, or the park no matter what calamity may befall them.  Saturday evening the waiver will be checked against player registration.  Anyone playing who had not signed the waiver will be disqualified.  Believe it!<br />

We will be excepting entry through PayPal,Disc golf United on line registration, or snail mail... we will provide all the info for this as we get closer to the dates.<br />

We will be Veteran's park all day on the 16th registering players and letting players check in and pick up players packs.<br />

At this point there are still several cabins available at Tombigbee state park plus we will have the group camp that weekend as well. It will hold up to 200 people.. it is $8.50 per night. <br />
Hotels in Tupelo will be limited that particular weekend due to the annual furniture market in town and also a body building competition in town. So if you are looking to stay in a hotel...better be booking it now.]]></description>

Saturday, April 27th at Acadiana Park. Registration opens at 8:30 AM. A brief players meeting will follow the conclusion of registration and the first round will tee off at 10:00 AM.<br />

Different divisions will play different tees for this tournament.  Some will play from the orange (concrete) exclusively and others will play a mixture of gold and orange tees.  Who plays which will be explained at the players meeting.  As always, novices and juniors will play shorter &quot;blue&quot; tees on certain holes.<br />

Tee time for the second round will be announced and posted at lunch, once all of the first round score cards have been turned in.<br />

An awards ceremony will follow the second round once the final scores have been tallied. All CTP prizes, awards, merchandise and cash won by players will be presented at the awards ceremony.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ The Columbus Disc Golf Association is excited to be the host of the 2013 Southern Nationals Pro Championship!<br />

The tournament will be held August 31 - September 1st, 2013 in Columbus, Mississippi, featuring 3 quality, challenging courses in Propst Park, Lake Lowndes, and Lake Lowndes Gold, to test your skills and find out who will be this year's Southern Nationals Pro division champions.  The tournament will be a PDGA B tier and a USDGC qualifier event.<br />

This thread will serve for all tournament related info and I will keep it up to date and gladly answer any questions as time goes on.  You can also e-mail me any questions at bazkitcase5 [at] hotmail.com.<br />

The field will be capped at 144 players. Only the first 144 players invited (based on final 2012-2013 points) will have a chance to sign up before August 1st. The list of invited players will be posted shortly after the conclusion of the 2012-2013 season, and invites will be sent out no later than June 21, 2013. <br />
<br />
Qualified players will have until August 1, 2013, to get registered. After this deadline, any SN-qualified professional player (played a 2012-2013 SN qualifier as a professional) will then be able to register. If the tournament has not filled by August 17, 2013, any player with SN points, Pro or Am, will be able to register.  There will be NO day off registration!<br />
