Tony my name is Keith Osborne. My son Keith Osborne III placed 8th in the junior division in the Columbia tourney. But his name is not on the tourney results. Can you add him so he can keep track of his results? That was his first tourney, I'm sure that he will be playing alot more in the future. Thanks in advance, and great job as always.
By the time you get back JC, there won't be a need for one. We are still planned on cutting more trees out the corners of some holes to make them a little less punishing. That being said, this will always be a hard and challenging course with a PREMIUM for shot placements. At least on the 4 woods holes. The course as a whole WILL get better as we go though. Thanks for your feedback.

I would like to thank everyone who came out to Columbia for its innaugural tournament. We had a great turnout with 51 competitiors coming over, nearly all of which came from way out of town. Thanks to all the guys from Mobile, Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Jackson who made the trip. I hope you all liked the course and come back again soon to face the challenge of the Pearl River Landing DGC.

Looking forward to the Southern National Family making another visit to the Pine Belt. Please take the time to stay over night or visit soon as Tony, The Hattiesburg Disc Golf Association, and I have had a great year of growth for Disc Golf.

The New Columbia Course Pearl River Landing DGC (18 holes) joins
Duncan Lake DGC (18 holes) in the downtown Hattiesburg area
Tatum Park (18 Holes-9 new) near the South Hattiesburg Exit on 59
Paul B. Johnson State Park (27 Holes - 9 new) South of Hattiesburg on 49
Ashe Lake DGC (18 hole course and 9 hole Handicapped/beginner course) About 10 miles South of Paul B. just off Hwy 49 in Brooklyn MS
Windy Hills DGC (19 Holes) On PRCC Campus in Poplarville.
Rusty Tractor Ridge (9 holes Private) Only friends of Skoal (Skye & Joel Morgan) get to play this Jewel.
Collins City Park (18 Holes) Under construction by Ransom Jones

As you can see it may have taken us a while to get going, but Hattiesburg is now a disc Golf Destination. Take advantage of the great weather by Camping at PBJ, or Desoto National Forest along the Black Creek and "PLAY EM ALL".

Good Luck with the Tourney. The course is technical and sweet. I've traveled over to play 3 times already, and hope to have many more soon.

Excellent TB, I'm glad they are letting you carve the fairways like that. The only other minor suggestion would be placing the am tee on 12 about 160-200 feet behind the low muddy spot in that fairway. That should allow ams to clear that spot when the course isn't in a drought like currently (ams don't like getting muddy FYI LOL).

Glad that you liked the majority of the course and I appreciate you coming up and checking it out and giving me some constructive criticism. We took your advice and cut about 15 more trees out the fairways of 14 & 15 yesterday. It def seems to have helped the holes.

Hope you come back soon. Just got my back 9 signs in from Chainreaction and they look fabulous!!

The course is in the Columbia Water Park, located on the west side of Columbia on HWY 35.

From HWY 98 in Foxworth (just outside Columbia) take MS HWY 35 North. The park is down on the left about 6 miles from HWY 98. Look for the brown sign that says Water Park, and the big white water tower.

Once you have turned off of HWY 35, go into the park and take your first left. Follow this road around the ballfields and you will come to a maintenance barn on your left. Park near it, and start on hole 1 behind the maintenance barn. Hole 10 is to the side of the maintence barn, beside hole 1.

I challenge everyone and anyone to come shoot in the 40's on this course!! It will be hard for even the best! It can be a beast!
