The ADGA and the Flight Club have been awarded the 2013 Southern National Doubles Championship of the 2012-2013 season. It is our goal to create an experience that will be remembered for years to come. Keeping with that goal, we are going to make the Skills Competition a major part of the doubles experience. Below is a list of the plans we have come to so far. We need everyone's help in accomplishing these goals Team Putting competition - each team, in each division, will compete for 2 sunken cypress minis and cash prizes (depending on fund raising). Team Accuracy - each team, in each division, will compete for 2 sunken cypress minis and cash prizes (depending on fund raising). Team distance driving/Accuracy - each team, in each division, will compete for 2 sunken cypress minis and cash prizes (depending on fund raising). We would also like to have an overall team champion for each division. Overall team champion would be decided by a points system for each event. Points will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place finishes in each skill competition for their division. 1st place finish in a skill competition would earn a team 3 points. 2nd place in a skills competition would earn a team 2 points. 3rd place in a skill competition will earn a team 1 point. The team with the most points in each division will be the overall skills champion for their division and will receive a plaque and cash (depending on fund raising). The only way to accomplish these goals is with your support. We are in the process of having a CFR disc designed to sell to help support the fund raising. We are also going to have 50/50 raffles at events, with the Td's permission. If you would like to help by holding a 50/50 raffle at your event, we would greatly appreciate the help. A 50/50 raffle is a raffle where 1/2 the money goes to the winner of the raffle and 1/2 goes to the "cause". In this case the cause is the Skill Competition. We are also accepting sponsors for Skills Events. Please contact me through the site or email and I will be happy to help you with sponsorship.
