Voted 5-0 in favor of requiring players to wear a shirt, shoes, and pants/skirts. Bikini tops will not be considered shirts. 2. Voted 6-0 to release a statement reminding players to not alter courses without permission. 3. Voted 6-0 to look into a request by a local club. 4. Discussed adding a rating system. Matthew Gardner stated that he withdrew his system for consideration at present. 5. Tabled discussion on the changing the present point system until the next meeting. Dissent is what makes our country and the SN great. While you may say that the BOD doesn't do what you want all the time, most of us read the forum and therefore listen to what you have to say. The SN does its best not to restrict the speech of its members, even when they are knowingly spreading lies and disinformation. Sometimes we kick discussions that cross the decency line to the private forum, but we don't delete them.

As for your voice not being loud enough when the vote is 5-1, at least you had a vote. Sometimes you can influence others even while disagreeing with them. Since I have been on the BOD, every idea has been modified due to a dissenting opinion on the BOD. Both groups have tried very hard to make everthing a 6-0 vote by compromising as much as possible and trying to satisfy the issues raised by the dissenters.

It can be very frustrating to be attacked, even indirectly, on the forum. It is very hard not to lash out at critics. I hope that posters will be patient with our new BOD members and give them time to adjust to not responding to every comment and not taking things to heart. When you sign up to run things, you have to be prepared to be villified on a regular basis.

I was just informing you that I have already served time on the board. It's telling that only three people offered to serve.

If Matthew doesn't reconsider his resignation and since NOBODY else ran. I wonder what the board will do in this case. Ask or beg for someone to take his place?

The Southern Nationals is supposed to be fun. If it's legal, go all out. HAVE FUN. Do you think the Southern Nationals is the reason disc golf isn't on national television? Not one dam bit. It isn't national because it is boring sport to watch on TV unless you play it. And the TV production we have right now is so god-awful, it never will be national.



The PDGA is THE governing body for this sport. The Southern Nationals is tournament series. That is ALL. It should not be considered an alternative to the PDGA. Ever.

I resign myself from the board because I have diff views on how to clean up and better the sport. And another moron can try but I am done. Maybe one of the posters on this forum can have my spot because I dont care anymore. Why even have a board because the board cant accomplish anything when no one wants them to.

Josh, Barb, Will, Don, and Mike I am sorry and this has nothing to do with you. But I cannot be on the board anymore. I love disc golf and I love to play in tournaments but all this bickering and childish jabs at people are taking the fun out of it for me. I dont have a problem with anyone. I am probably the easiest person to get along with and I have no want to be mad at anyone or have people that I would not know if I saw them be mad at me. So this is my resignation and as far as rules and regulations no one on this forum will here my opinions. Opinions are like A$$ holes and mine stinks like everyone elses.

And I am sure that I will be bashed for this and made fun of but I could care less what anyone on this forum thinks about me because I do not know any of you. The ones that do know me for the person that I am not by what they think that I may be. I am going back to just having fun with a sport that I fell in love with in college and I hope the best for the board and the sport. No hard feelings to anyone because I do not hate people or dislike people I have never met.

The only rule that the SN BOD has said can not be suspended in any circumstance is the use of illegal drugs.
