2010 Financials Halfway edition

Players:

Pro Divisions: 972
Am Divisisons: 2052
Doubles All Divisions: 560

Total Fees:
Pro/Am: $6049
Doubles: $954

Collected Fees:

Pro/Am: $2944
Doubles: $644
Bag Tags: $940

No Money has been spent since the September report.

Total players seem to be down about 1000 year to date from last year. So $2000 in fees. John Kittrell has collected several regular events, but I don't have that info. It seems likely that he has put in between $500-$1000 in fees. Also all New Orleans events will be deducted from the final SNAC payout per NO request. So that's some more money. It seems likely that we have collected 2/3 of the funds. Again I can't be sure with JK and the final NO totals. That has been par for the course. Events usually take a month or 2 to turn in their money. All but one of the dubs events has been collected and I expect that one in any time. Bag Tag funds will be much less this year because Memphis did not give them away at the SNAC.

Additionally the $6049 number includes a few events that are excempt from fees. Those events applied for a fee waiver. They are still included because I use them to figure out how much money goes to each division at the end of the year. I will adjust for it then.

And lastly, it has been the long standing practice of the SN Treasurer NOT to list outstanding events. This will continue until someone takes over from me. They can change it then if they want.

Thanks,
Josh Lenox
SN Treasurer

PS The SN account has $7280 in it. So clearly we have collected more than listed above.

Thanks JK. That is what the report should look like and not like the one shown by the present Treasurer. Yours shows what events have been paid and even shows how fast some have gotten the fees to you. Well done sir!

Just my $.02 ---- Since the NO events are keeping their SN fees and not sending them remember when the SNAC AM fees are sent to subract out the SN pro fees as well as the $.25 from each of the AM players SN Fees. Accounting-wise it would keep everything clearer and less confusing for outsider looking at financial info if they just sent the fees like normal and you gave them back at the appropriate time. You can always give them an advance on the SN fee is seed money is needed........

Also for those curious in past when I was the Treasurer any sn fees collected for events from past seasons that didn't make it into the SNPC/SNAC (ie turned in to late) went into the next years Championships in the appropriate divisions just one year later........not sure how it is being handled now, whether that is still the case or it is treated as extra money, like the $.025.
