The Mississippi River and its tributaries may reach water levels not seen since the flood of 1937. Published predictions from the Vicksburg District of the Corps of Engineers show the river gauge in Memphis at 45.0 on May 10 which is approximately 2 feet below the 100 year flood level. Unpublished predictions go as high as 48. If you live within the 100 year flood plain you should be preparing to evacuate. It is surprising that the media has not made much of this because the ramifications of these predictions are enormous. This is going to be bad...really bad.
