Scoring Format: (based on 12 teams)

Rd. 1 - Mixed Doubles

*Each cities' 6 team members will be split into 3 teams of 2 players. Each team (Team A, Team B, etc..) will compete against only the other cities' teams in its "division" in an alternate shot format.*

Team A will consist of the Pro A and Lady player.
Team B " " Pro B and Intermediate Player.
Team C " " Masters and Advanced Player.

Each City will be awarded 3 points for each team that your city's teams (A, B & C) beat.

Round 1 will be worth a total of 99 possible points.

Rd. 2 - Field Events

*All field events (putting, accuracy & distance) will be based on a total team score, meaning each player will earn his own points during the accuracy and putting portions, but will all be totalled into a team score in the end for each event.*

*Distance will be judged by one total "Team distance" meaning each players one best throw will be totalled together.*

Each City will be awarded 4 points for each team that they beat in the putting portion, 4 points for each team that they beat in the accuracy portion, as well as 4 points for each team that they beat in the distance portion.

Round 2 will be worth a total of 132 possible points.

Rd. 3 - Singles

*All team members play only within their respective division, from their respective tee pads.*

*Scoring will be based off a "total team score" meaning all individual scores from each team member will be combined.*

Each City will be awarded 10 points for each team that they beat.

Round 3 is worth a total of 110 points.

FINALS & SCORING: (top 3 teams only)

The Finals will be 6 holes and team alternate tee format, meaning that you will play alternate shot as a team with everyone on the team having to throw once before anyone can throw a second shot. In addition to this it is alternate tee, so everyone on the team will have to tee off on one hole (6 hole final), bringing strategy into who tees off on what hole. The real kicker is that the finals ends on our "island" hole from the pro tee which is very demanding, so you'll want to keep an ace up the sleeve.

The Finals will be worth a total of 100 possible points.

Scoring will be broken into (2) parts:

*10 points will be awarded for an outright win on any hole (a.k.a. skins).
*20 points for each team that your overall score for the finals beats.

*SPONSORS NEEDED*

I am looking for tee shirt sponsors for the 2012 SN Cup. $100 will get your logo on the back of the shirts. Will need at least 6 or 7 to cover the costs of the shirts so that I don't have to take it out of the payout (entry fees). Please get on board if you can.

Mike, all the info you need should be on this thread somewhere. If you think of something that isn't please let me know and I will answer it ASAP.

Heard from a couple teams today that will be sending their money this week.

Again, Feb. 1st is the deadline for all cities to have a chance to register. After that, multiple teams from any city can begin to register. I am not going to wait til the last minute to get this thing filled so you better get your money together quickly. I have heard from 3 teams in Mobile, 2 from Desoto County area, and 2 from Laffayette area that are wanting to play and after the deadline will be able to register.

I foresee some cities being left out in the cold b/c they were not prepared. Send in those entries.

The cutoff will be 12 teams.

TEAM COLORS:

Please post here and let me know if your club is planned on being here and already have club shirts that are a certain color. Or if you prefer a certain color for your team shirts (that you will receive for this event) to be.

Teams that register first will have priority on the colors they pick.

Tony the last two years I drew colors by entry order. That way no one is said to have a preferred color. Its your baby of course. Just a suggestion.
