That looks really nice, Mike.
Well Jacques while I would like to take credit for that, it was Mark the Shark who did all the work on the staining and cutting of the wood and of course Blessed Lettuce of Graphitefaces.com who did the image and laminating!

Even though we're giving 24 of them away they are still pretty hard to come by, as only about 14% of the field will win one. So I am pretty proud of the ones I have adorning my walls from the home team victories of past years.

Back to making some more sponsor tee signs...

Mr Almighty,

You do realize there are gold tees at City Park!?!?!?!?

Field limited to 90 players

To get to City Park from either direction, take I-10 to I-610, then exit at Canal Blvd and head south, go under the railroad, then turn left at the first light (Navarre). Stay on that road until it ends, then turn left onto Marconi. Follow Marconi under the railroad tracks again and turn right immediately after that onto Zachary Taylor Drive. Then take your first right, Henry Thomas Drive, which will bring you under the railroad tracks again, then the course is on your right. Parking is kinda tight due to construction, if you can't park by hole 1 or 11 try parking behind Hole 2 or along Holes 8-10.

To get to Lafreniere Park from either direction, take I-10 to exit 225, Veterans Blvd. Take a left at the light, then go about 1/4 mile to a left at Downs Blvd. which takes you into the park. Take your first left in the park and go about 1/4 mile past the dog park to Shelter 2 which will be on the right.
At City Park, the pro tees are white and the am tees are marked with red signs and white & gold fleur-de-lis pills. The pro tees will be flagged Friday to help with navigation.

At Lafreniere Park, everyone plays the only set of tees which are yellow.

Tonight's registration update is brought to us by WALKERS BBQ, who are cooking either 5 or 10 smoked pork butts (I can't remember how many Big Brown said but I know it's a lot) for your lunching pleasure! These are the same award-winning cooks who serve the couchon-de-lait poboys every year at the New Orleans Jazz Fest! I can almost taste it already.

One more reminder....

The 2012 Pot Of Gold is a Vibram Open Qualifier.

Anyone playing in the Open, Masters, Pro Ladies, Advanced, and Advanced Masters is eligible to earn one of the 2 spots we have to get someone in to one of the top 5 richest disc golf tournaments in the world!

No one has paid the $10 qualifying fee, so if you have ever wanted to play in the Vibram Open, this could be a great opportunity.

Bernie definitely bring that scoreboard we need it, thanks. I'm still trying to round up one more basket, I'll let you know about that. Thanks for the help! Hopefully I will have time to take your donation Thursday as well!

By the way, several of years ago I made some disparaging comments about the condition of Lafreniere and the general scene in the park. After my round yesterday, I feel compelled to rescind those comments.

The course is in great shape and has been reformatted some to keep pedestrians out of harm's way. The grass is nice and green, the tee boxes are in good shape (even after all the rain), and the layout is creatively challenging.

Additionally, I saw park rangers all over the place, giving me a better sense of security, which was especially nice considering I had my 2 year old daughter with me. Two different park rangers even offered me course maps without any provocation on my part.

Anyway, I just wanted to send out a big thanks to the NOLA crew and the city! Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Saturday is going to be a blast!
