I vote for the tournament move the baskets back to the original position and keep it all par 3 cause where some of the new positions are after he moved them are not even disc golf shots I think at every disc golf course there should be at least one aceable hole but with the new positions there is not the guy is an idiot for doing anything to the course I have played the course twice since he has moved the pins and shot 5 an 6 down and that's hen I was having and day bottom line they took a very beautiful and laid out course and turned it into crap

Lone Wolf and myself will roll into Hamilton tomorrow morning between 8 and 8:30, we will check out this "new" layout. I thought Keith Spotts did a great job with the original, hope it retains a lot of the same qualities it had. Anybody want to join us just show up.

Who cares if its par 3 or par 4. You still try to throw the least amount of shots compared to the competition. In a tournament pars and birdies dont mean squat. The total throws is where its at IMO.

Ok par 8 for all I care. im taking bets on how many people get hit with disc. Several holes you throw over the pro pads. several other holes the lanes are right against each other. When you only have ten people throwing out there and have problems with disc flying by you, just imagine 70 people. Gonna be interesting.

I played Hamilton today with Fisher and while it makes no difference which you play come tournament time as far as score, I think the "old" design was a much better conceived layout. Number 1 is now 80-100 feet longer and will yield scores of 3 most of the time, number 2 is now a tee placement shot for most and a short turnover into a cut area for a three or four. Number 3 is still tight but moved back appox. 60 feet. Number 4 is a U turn hole now and just plain blows in my opinion. Number 5 has been cut out to the left and you can throw blind over the brush for a 2 or 3 or 4 depending on where u land in the brush. Number 6 is now a turnover that will yield few if any 2's, still a tight fairway. Number 7 has changed very little if any still reachable with a putter or mid. Number 8 was my favorite hole and now it is cut deeper into the left which will give up few if any 2's but be very easy 3 is first gap is hit. Number 9 is not that bad of a par 3 but too easy if a four. Number 10 is a beast, I see no 2's here and a 3 would be well earned, not a bad par four or just a tough par 3. Number 11 blind over the brush shot that will have some 2's but mostly 3's, Number 12 still a good par 3. Number 13 still a good par 3. Number 14 a tough par 3 or a pretty easy par 4. Number 15 and number 16 same as 14. Mando on 16 is totally unnecessary. Number 17 a decent par 4 not great but not bad. Number 18 I can't reach off the tee but will yield a 3 90+ percent of the time.

I play advanced masters and I do not have a big arm, yet anyone who plays with me knows I play in the top 30% of the field form the same tees. I shoot under from the pros at B'ville and just his week shot 2 down at Bud Hill, I shoot near even or better at Tombigbee II. I tell you this so you can compare. Today I shot +10 and +9 from the short pads playing all holes as par 3's. I was not on top of my game and will admit to being frustrated with some of the holes, I think as all par 3's I could improve to somewhere from +2 to +6. This is my honest opinion of the "new" layout and I saw some holes that will conflict with the flow on others. I would have no problem playing this course as all par 3's and some of the new holes actually add to the course, others like #4 and #8 have detracted from what I felt was a good course. I do feel for what others who call this course home have had to deal with, I think you had a very good course and with a "little" tweaking it could of been great but someone went a little overboard and it plays completely different.

I think the course could have done without some of the basket being moved i myself played it today with only 3 birdies at a par 3 on every hole theres only one main hole that is at all aceable and thats #7 other than that good luck on makin par cause u will need luck but this is my opionion and i for one was thinking of playing in this tourney but the mess they have goin with the baskets i doubt i will play in it

I do hope this tournament has a record breaking turnout for a great cause. If I do not make it it will not be because of the current layout but rather to family matters on the same day. I also hope that all the critical comments about the new layout does not affect the tournament but does cause some thought on the future of this very nice facility. My comments about the current layout as we played it Saturday were honest opinions of my own and I feel I was fair in my critique of the course.

i played new layout today and would have had two eagles. and only two pars. the rest were birdies. it is easily still all par 3's. is silly to think otherwise. pure silly! the new layout is very fun. really liked it. just think it is a joke only due to what people are calling par. pro and advanced should play it as all par 3's. and that should be the thought process of any TD for this tourney.

the pro tees will be a challenge on sum for 3. really loved the course now and old. think yall should just call it a and b holes. make it long for tournie play and keep it regular for most parts. so ur rec games are less timely. still a must play if u are in the area.

According to ESP he shot -18 down if all holes are par 4. I believe #7 is still playing a par 3 so he would of finished -17, so now if all are par 3's he would of shot even.

I looked back to last years scores and I believe they were still in old layout and the advance and pros played short and long. From the longs NO ONE shot even or better. Drew Davis and Cameron Colglasier shot 57 final round for the best score. Why did par fours have to come into play at all, why the need to change 17 of the 18 holes. I just feel that someone took a good layout and just changed everything because they could, listen no skin off my back and I only play it a couple times each year but this did nothing but water down the challenge. As far as tournament play we all play the same holes so no big deal either way, just like I said though after the tournament I honestly have no desire to play this course the way it is set up now.
