Sponsorship: Will get information out as soon as we can.

Junior Division: I see no problem with offering a junior division. Will have an answer for you hopefully no later than Friday evening or Saturday morning.

I spoke with the PDGA Tour Manager yesterday. The Competition Endowment Program Application has been approved for this tournament. This means that non-current members only have to pay $5 non-member fee instead of the normal $10. He also wants us to submit photos and a write-up after the tournament for publication on the PDGA website, especially if we can talk some of the soldiers from Fort Polk who play the course into playing this one. I will contact the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Branch at Fort Polk about this one as soon as possible.

niklpenny....if you can, talk to the people you see on the course. Let them know about the tourney. Will try to have a flyer out by this weekend.

Alan, David picked up the containers with all of our (Lafayette's) tournament supplies in them last Sunday.

They have all of the stuff (boards, board cards, supplies, etc..) in them except scorecards which David said he wanted to make with correct distances for that course.

Let us know what else y'all need and I'll send it up with somebody. Wish I could make the first tournament up there. Don't be shy, if y'all need help with anything just ask.

If we can get 3 players in the Legends division, will you have one available? Sr. Grand Masters and Legends can also be combined.

I talked to Marvin last night. Would love to have Legends and Senior Grandmasters Divisions....separate if possible, combined if no other way. I think that it's possible to have both with four in each division.

I'll talk to Marvin tonight....and will call my dad, who really enjoys beating Marvin, to see if he can come in from New Mexico.

Hole Sponsorship $25

send PM or Email to alan.byrd@gmail.com if interested.

As for the distance between this one and the tournament in Jackson, this was the only date available at this park. It is the first tournament ever in the area. I believe that 152 miles is within the minimum requirements for a one-day SN tourney, but if I am wrong, please inform me.

P.S. If anybody has talked to David Roberts, ask him to give me a call.

Update:

I have submitted for online registration on the 15th, but have not received a response yet. I sent an email request for a status update a few minutes ago. I'm certain Bluff will have something to say about that....and, right now, I would have to agree. As for day of tournament registration, yes, that will be available.

I'm doing this one with David Roberts, but haven't heard from him in several days. Not getting through by phone. If anybody knows how to get in touch with him, please ask him to call.

Your wish is granted master. Bluff says "Disc golfers have to learn everything the hard way." LOL

Paypal is much easier to deal with and cuts out the middle man. Not that I love PayPal but it's better. So Alan when are you gonna run an event in the Port of Shreves? That might be worth driving to for us South LA boys :) :):):)

The following link is a sponsored scorecard for Buhlow with corrected distances for most holes (laser rangefinder and/orGPS) and corrected par information. I'll be happy to print up some on cardstock for the tournament if anyone is interested.

There can't be only two. Minimum would be 3.

So maybe it's a basic math thing that underlies people's inability to understand what "par" is . . . :)
Re: Red River Rendezvous - Fort Buhlow DGC - 10 Nov 2012
October 22, 2012 11:29AM
Jazz, scorecards for the tourny is already made so therefore we are not using "your cards". We have already argued about this and already stated that the pars will not be changed because you want them changed. I have already gotten par on this holes. What gives you the right to change them because of your lack of skill?
