So what's the verdict on the tournament tomorrow? We want to come play, but don't want to drive all that way and get a hotel to have it cancelled due to inclement weather. Decisions decisions. :-/

That was 2006 Summer Sizzler
Here are some great quotes from the tournament:

"The water level in the creek started out about around six or seven feet below the top bank. It started pouring down three holes into the second round and the T.D. (Will) suspended play because of lightning, we ddidn't get started again for over 45 minutes. Three holes later the water level had raised around two or three feet above the top bank of the canal. That's when the tournament was called off. The water kept on rising, though. It was really bad. It rose so fast, that many players who had teed off and landed safely on the fairway, couldn't find their discs when they walked up to their lie. Before they could get to their discs, the water flooded the fairway and washed them away." Jose

"@#$%& I wish I had my camera! It really was sick! Discs 4 feet in bounds were 3 feet out of bounds in less than 2 minuets! Greens dissapeared and bridges vanished! Multi - feet of water in a very short amount of time" Will Timmons

"Just wanted to throw out Ben Fox's name as well. The dude went chest deep into the teeth of that monster (the freakin current was no joke) with a rope tied around him and Z man holding the other end [lot of good that was going to do except it would have been funny seeing Z man skiing behind Ben as they rushed on out with the water] to get the basket on #18 I believe." Chad

"Crazy how it turned out....once play resumed...people were commenting on how high the water was in the cooley. Minutes later it was creeping into fairways. Then fairways turned into streams with little islands scattered around. Finally the fairways were rivers...and everyone was knee deep....all in a 15 minute period! I'm still wondering were that stink bomb of a dog corpse floated off to....ughh " Dom

"Well, "$hit fire and save matches" that there creek rose." Steve Timm

"Reflecting on wading across the current that was waist deep to get #3 basket, I remember seeing some big wooden furniture floating by, Jeff Martin Jr. yelling "Look out for snakes!" All I can say is "What was I thinking?" Steve Timm

"Another tragedy was watching Bobbie (Zephyr-Man) D's only disc land in the middle of the fairway in a shallow puddle. By the time we got to the disc, the puddle had turned into the main channel and was thigh deep. That 200 gram Zephyr was no match for the current and it was gone. The forum filter does not allow me to quote Bobbie. Steve Timm
