Please allow me until tomorrow or the next day for a full report. I didn't get in until last night after breaking camp. I had to unpack the trailer and the car and was dead tired. Tired people make mistakes and, as we all know, mistakes are not tolerated in the SNDG. If any of the winners want to report in please feel free to do so.

Here are the results of the tournament. It did not translate well to this post but it has been sent in to SNDG along with the sanctioning fees. A few notes:

1. Last year I listed the players pack at what I had in it. This year I am listing it at full value or MSRP:
Discraft Full Color Tournament Disc: $20
Discraft Full Color Mini: $5
Delta Arts T shirt $10
Innova & Discraft Decals: $1
Camper Toothbrush: $1
Flashlight & Batteries: $3
Ruler: free

2. I also l accounted for the CTP's but not Ring of Fire Merchandise.

3.I decided to give everyone a players pack. Some pros did not get the word. Any pro who did not receive a players pack please send me a PM and I will get it to you. Include your shirt size and I will get a close as I can.

4. Mandy Sharp. I made a mistake on your payout. Please PM me your address and I will send you a check for $54.

Thanks to all those who pitched in to help during the tournament especially Kevin Land for running the skins. Thanks to all those who attended and braved Friday's weather. Saturday and Sunday were gorgeous.

I glanced at the LB cards this morning and Matt Norris did indeed win the playoff for first in Open. The winnings also involve skins so its not just simply switching names. My XL program sorts the data first by division, then by scores then by names and I neglected to overide the tie with the playoff winner. I will issue the corrections this evening after I get home from work. I did not have time to review the WPO cards.

One of the things all TD's should do is take the scorecards and leaderboard cards home and keep them for a month in case something like this shows up.

OK. I finally got it figured out. Mandy Sharp was the winner of the Women Pro Open but was also the only player in that division. I paid her $100 but should have paid her only $77. We talked on the phone and she offered to return the difference but it was my mistake. Mandy, consider it a bonus for gracing my event with your presence and an encouragement to be there next year.

In the Women Pro Master there were 3 players. I ran out of red cards and had Vicki Palmer on a white card giving a visual indication of only two players and figured the payout of $154 based on two players. I am not making excuses but just explaining how the mistake was made. With three players the payout comes to $231. I spoke to Vicki on the phone saying she might have some more money coming but after careful evaluation I found that I have actually overpaid her by $10. Of course I want her to keep that $10 for the reasons stated above.

How could I have over paid her one might well ask? Well, its like this: I said that I would pay 34% of the pros with that being a threshold amount that must be satisfied. 1 divided by 3 = 33.333% or 0.666% short of 34%. This is exactly the way I had intended it to be; basically a +1 payout. The correct payout should have been $144 and $87 for first and second respectively.

The bottom line is that Lori Maxwell is due $87 for coming in second!!! Congratulations, Lori. Please PM me your mailing address and I will send you a check.

I have modified the SNDG report and will send it in tomorrow morning. My home computer does not have XL.

I just got off the phone with Lori Maxwell. I called to inform her that she has $87 coming and I needed her mailing address. She told me to give the money to Danny Daniels as her sponsorship for the upcoming Lee Naquin Tournament. Classy lady.

I wish I could have been there, Gary ALWAYS runs a masterful straight up event!

Without Gary and others that step up to COMPLETELY run events, all players would be relegated to Sunday Flip-up doubles for pocket change! If that is what you desire, keep running them down. Those who have never REALLY ran an event have not a clue to how many hours, phone calls, emails, miles driven it takes to make it happen.

It is very easy to say you are having an event and let someone else do all the work and act like you deserve all the credit! Not even close!

Keep up the good work Gary, for every one detractor there are legions of players waiting for the horn to blow!
