f2010 BAG TAG SALES REPORT AND TD -CLUB CHALLENGE
November 13, 2009 05:54PM
Well the first 200 2010 bag tag have either been sold or in the hands of a td or club. Just received another 100. Now we need all td and club to get involve in selling of the bag tags. here is what we could of done last year if each club or TF gave away bag tags at their event.
120 events times 3 bag tags 360 tags sold $7200.
120 events times 5 bag tags 600 tags sold $1200.00
120 events times 10 bag tag1200 sold $24,000.00
As you can see if we tried to really get behind the bag tag challenge we could do so much for our championships and the hosting club.We have no membership so if you want to help and be part of something great buy a tag now. If everyone would do what they can with the tags we would have many clubs wanting to host the championships each year.It would also allow us to go to a 50% payout and it would be nice to have a great party or supper too. we nees your help so we can have great SNC in the future and so that any club big or small will understand they have help. Then when it is your turn to host you will have the help you need.

If you have tags please let everyone know on here.If you need some please let me know.

we really need to work on making a effort at all our events to have something nice just for SN bag tag holders. Also make sure all am-pro players understand that by playing in your event they have the right to go to the SNC. Tell them where and when they are.So many do not understand that they can go to their SNC. THANKS Jim!!
P.S. I have some bag tags in the store, the first 20 will come with a nice gift too, skysouh.com.

Hmmm, very interesting thread here.

It's interesting that on November 13, 2009, Jim O stated "Well the first 200 2010 bag tag have either been sold or in the hands of a td or club. Just received another 100."

Yet, by the time the SNPC rolled around, the TD posted:

The number I was given for bag tag sales was $2780.

At $20 per tag, if 200 were indeed sold by November of 2009, that would have raised $4000.

So I guess the question is...why did Memphis only get the money from the sale of 139 tags, and not at least 200 and what about the "100 more" that Jim O mentioned in his post?

Does anyone want to explain where the SN Bag Tag money really went?

Or does anyone want to explain why the SN financials are not posted? Or perhaps the treasurer and the BoD don't want us to know where the money disappeared to?

WE"RE TAKING THE SOUTHERN NATIONALS BACK!!! DO YOU HEAR ME JIM???

I have as much information as you Kernan.

BUT, for the record, I believe the SNPC only gets $15 of the $20 of a bag tag sale. Granted, 200x15= 3000 but that is a lot closer.

Gilligan, you don't have a clue, as usual. All the $20 is supposed to go straight to the SNPC---which if you could read, you could even tell from Jim O's first post on this thread. Are you that dumb or are you just playing Sidebottom because you're in on the heist this year?

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, our SN Board with absolutely no clue where our SN fees and bag tags sales have gone.

I sure hope Jim O takes back the SN real soon. Oh wait...he's on the SN Board still. Yeah Jim, take back the SN from those people on the SN Board who won't tell us what they've done with the SN funds! Yahoo, no wonder the 2010 SNPC payout was shall we say, perhaps a bit light?
Re: f2010 BAG TAG SALES REPORT AND TD -CLUB CHALLENGE

Seriously Mike
As the treasurer for a number of years I only counted the bag tags I had money for. I know when I had control of the tags they were generally overprinted. I have some 05, 06 and 08 bag tags if anyone is interested. They don't all sell as I'm sure you will agree.

If you want to take the Southern Nationals back as you stated I'm sure Jim and the SN board would be willing to give the control of the 10-11 SN bag tags to you. You can be in charge of distributing the bag tags and collecting the money. Keeping track of everything for future accountability of course. I think you would do an excellent job!! I know you to be an honest person and would give you my backing for sure. You may never get the answers to your questions concerning past sn seasons but you could ensure that future questions regarding sn bag tags and bag tag money can be readily answered. I'm sure Josh would let you take over as the SN treasurer as well if you press that issue as well.

Gilligan - I'm not sure how it was handled this past season but in previous seasons (at least since the 0.25 of the SN $2 was used for expenses) that bag tag printing costs have come from that money.

Doug T. - Jim was just suggesting that the sn bag tags could be used as prizes as another way of getting them in the hands of the players as opposed to just "selling" them.

JK, I hear what you are saying, but why would the BOD/treasurer approve the purchase of 100 more if the could not account for the first 200 sold???. It now appears that 161 bag tags are unacounted for. I am sure they did not all sell, but again that is a waste of close to 500 dollars and that is the best case scenario.

I think the easiest way to do it would be to put it in the Host cities hands. Have the host order them and have the BOD pay for them and allow them to keep tabs of the money. They should already be doing that with CFR's.....

Re: f2010 BAG TAG SALES REPORT AND TD -CLUB CHALLENGE
September 12, 2010 07:02PM
Then the host clubs would be accused of wrongdoings if the past is any indication. I'm just trying to find an equitable solution to ensure that all monies are accounted for. I think he would do a great job, don't you Bob.

I 100% agree that he would be perfect for the job. Problem is somebody already started selling them.

Wow John, I wouldn't expect you to employ the tried and true Jim O strategy of changing the subject to hide the SN Board's improprieties. Dig a little deeper JK, you'll find that a lot more bag tags were sold than 139.

Is it really just too much to ask that the SN Treasurer report on what's in the bank account? Or have you gone to the dark side with Josh Marc Jim and Kevin there John? What's your percentage of the cut JK?

While my taking over tracking bag tag sales would certainly eliminate the possibility of Josh or Jim or Kevin or even you from looting the kitty yet again, can you at least try to come up with the usual comical, blatantly false explanation for the loss of SN funds that we're all accustomed to for the 2010 season before we chat about 2011?

Are you going to tell us what tournaments from before May 31 still haven't paid their sanctioning fees?

Thanks John for trying to explain, bag tags were sent out to mant SN clubs to sell, I think all first 200 sent out, So I talk Josh into ordering more. So please blame me for the last 100. I truely beleive we could sell more, but it did not work out. Did mike K OR gilligin sell any or even buy one, what was your part in the sn tags. Maybe i have #123-114125-265-264266--9l-246-211-209210-248208207-243-231-230-228247-226-233-235-234-232-249244-237-240-229-250-227-214-213-212-219-206-223-222-221-220-218-217-245-236-238-241-216-215203-202 i will look else where and see if there are anymore, all I sent out everyone was told to send funds to Josh.SN players we need help to reach this goal off 500 it will take all TDS and players to reach it. Why the hell is my name being drug into this? The only thing I am guilty of is incorrectly thinking that $15 of the $20 went to the SNPC (bad intel, at least I didn't invade Iraq ;) ). If anything that should have been viewed as an attempt to HELP you out Jim.

As a matter of fact Jim, I did not sell any bag tags nor did I put any of that bag tag money in my own pocket, but thanks for asking! LOL

Keep trying to change the subject, Mr. Wizard behind the curtain.

Seriously Jim, if the SN doesn't bother keeping track of where the tag money goes each year, what makes you think you'll be able to sell 500 tags each year? Because we're supposed to be blindly loyal to people who continue to use the SN finances as their personal piggy bank?
