It takes alot of work to put an event like this together together, I do it weekly. But putting together an event thats runs as smoothly as this tournament did takes something more than just effort. Christin, Red, and even Willie had more. The experience to pull it off, the team work, and the desire to want an excellent event really showed guys and I'm sure out of towners took notice.
I want to say thank you for giving us an event of that quality.

I also want to thank the players I got to play with this week end. You guys played some amazing golf with great attitudes. I felt like that lead group really wanted everyone in the group to throw their "A" game, maybe no the groups behind us, but thats ok :).

And of course congrats to Shane, I didn't see that coming either.

Thank you for your time,
Byron Smith

Here are the results from the weekend. Payouts will be posted soon, as soon as I get the info from Red.

I want to thank Willie and Red for all the help and direction in this tournament. I learned so much...anyone who wants to learn how to run tournaments needs to learn from these two! Thanks so much! Thanks to everyone who helped get courses ready, tournament set-up, tournament extras and all the support. It couldn't happen without all the people willing to donate their time and energy. I am truly thankful to everyone who has helped!

I hope everyone had a blast playing in perfect weather. I had a blast as your TD.

Here are your results.

Wow Shane... I was proud but dang you beat some serious competition!!

FYI, I played my first tournament ever, LA Am at Greenwood, with mixed division and Shane was the Adv guy on my card. Impressed then and impressed now.

Jesse my man... What the hell happened?!? haha!

Here are the results with payout. I also corrected some jacked up thing I did with pro open where the top three people all had 1s by their names.

FYI: Professional Divisions had a $10 players pack, and top two finishers in each received a $20 plaque. Amateur Divisions had a $22 players pack, and top two finishers in each received a $20 plaque.

One of the unfortunate events of the weekend was when a thug was bold enough to enter a disc golfer's car and stole a purse. Cabbage watched the whole thing and it was reported to the authorities. I hope justice has or is being served.

This is just a reminder to everyone to remember to lock your cars. You may think you and your belongings are safe, but this sort of incident proves otherwise. It's a shame.

And we are very thankful to Cabbage for being so observant and reporting this crime.
