I believe they are going to do away with the $1 green fee to play-- they are not making any money and the fee and the crazy old man collecting it are keeping golfers away. The mayor came up with the idea of using old ball golf pin flags to mark the baskets and it works great. Also are good wind indicators -- high hopes here- keep your fingers crossed. bud5996

The big problem is that the $3 per player for the last 4 or 5 years collected for a supposed tee fund is ......... There should be money for use but where is it????? When I find out more I will tell!!! Tee-pads would make this course special -- we might have ask for tee sponsors at $90 a pop -more to come. bud5996

The city has purchased a new bushhog and the mayor (a woman) plans to keep the course groomed -as she put it. Tee-boxs AND benches are coming - it will make this worth the drive. The levee has been replaced and the water looks great- nice swimming hole and camping on the other side of the lake is back! This place should be in prime condition by the summer. bud5996

Are they just going to do the white tees? I like it because it has multiple tees in every hole.

Snap and I plan to set it up like Medal (Cottagehill)- we will make sure that the original character of the course stays, but because of financial reasons there will be red on every hole- white on every hole - and blue where there is a real difference in the shot. I am sure that all tees will be there some(?)day. Good course that could be great- Snap has established a relationship with the mayor that is going to pay off and take the old man from the park out of the situation. Good things to come. bud5996

The mayor called Wens. and said they are in for tee-pads - the only catch is that we need matching funds. So we need 18 hole sponsors -- $50 gets your name as sponsor with permenant plaque on the HOLE .- Now is your chance to get your name on a hole
forever. Hurry - this offer will not last long - When 18 sponsors are found a lottery will be held by Snap and Bolt to determine hole number. If at that time hole #s were to be swapped by agreement it would be fine!!! B-hole and Bud will sponsor for JJ- one done 17 to go.

Sponsors still needed for tee-shirts and holes. In the process of finding another embroidery service, my sister is unable to do them for me this year. Contact Jeff at 251 656 3975 for sponser info

Going to Citronelle to meet with the Mayor and the old man-- we are going to get the WHOLE story on what happened to the $3 a head that has been collected at the Safari for the last 4 years for tee-boves. This should get very interesting. bud5996

Just for the record, the 3 bucks a head was what the old man charged was a park fee, not a tee pad fund, or so we were told. Safari 2 and 3 we donated extra cash to a tee pad fund that the old man was talking about. When he never did anything we stopped giving him extra cash, but the 3 buck a head fee was still mandatory. I may have misunderstood the last few posts, but it seemed to me there was an accusation in there. Like i said it may have been a misunderstanding.
I would also like to list Chad and Misty Rousse as a sponser. Good list so far, make sure to get on the shirts
