This is a work weekend for me so regrettably I will not be making the safari. Would love to see Citronelle with tee-pads ( and I will in the near future ). I got my first ace at Citronelle ( Jan. 3rd, 1998 ), so it has fond memories. Look forward to seeing the old girl with new tee-pads.

Thank MOBZ for hosting such a great tournament! We had a blast, but could you get that A/C fixed!! Lol, just kidding but man was it hot!!!
Re: Citronelle Safari 5 - 4 June 2011

I agree with John Key - it was hot. Between rounds sitting in the shade, in the breeze - it felt like we were being slow cooked. The breeze was actually hot. The only thing that was not hot was my game - ouch.

Anyway - thanks for a fun day, hope to play this course a couple of times before the next event - it is one of the good ones. Thanks to all the staff that made this possible - great job! See everyone next weekend for doubles in Mobile.

Leo and Jeff good to finally put a face with the name - thanks for making us all feel at home and feeding us too!

Go out and play around with Disc Golf Today!!

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped out with the event. We were dying out there midway through the 2nd round and finally got to a water cooler, it was empty. One phone call and within 3 minutes we had water delivered to us. I thought everything went off without a hitch. Very smoothly ran. Thanks to you all guys for hosting us, Leo, Jeff, Kenny, Ben, Southside etc.....

Thanks everyone, the mayor paid us a visit again this morning and we had a long , very interesting and disturbing conversation about recent events and some things that were said during those events. I assure everyone that the Safari will continue to be as good as we can make it. We found a nice straw hat and a small cooler, owners identify please and we'll get them back. Thanks again for the kind words, but we put these on for the players ,not the praise. There will be more work done out there and the Mayor is willing to work with the MOBZ to make everything about this course great.

MOBZ would like to thank Loretta Presnall for her support, with her help Safari 6 will be a monster, thats a promise. The course looked great, mostly. There are areas that need attention badly, but all that can be fixed or repaired. Thanks again to all the sponsers, because of yall we were able to pay out better than 100 percent and GIVE away shirts and lunch. 90 strong this year even with the heat, Thanks again

The whole situation up there with the old man and the way they are afraid to approach him on almost any subject is strange. What he did with all the money you guys gave him no-one knows. That was a butt-load of cash over the last few years-- but he did make it clear the Mobz give him ALL the money-- he said he spent some on the park and turned some in...??? Quite odd system --- there were some questions at first, but I went to Mr Pete and ask him straight-up and in his "ramblings" he gave you guys the all-clear. You guys did all you said you did and it is a shame that it was not used for the course-- that was over $1000 - great job, and what you collected this year will be used. bud5669
