Y'all are tempting me. ;-)

James Burton has also mentioned he might come from Florence.

If I came I'd stay in the bunkhouse. Need to keep things as cheap as possible.

Come on Russ...you beat me at Tishamingo. Was it skill or luck? I have over a grand in sponsorship money and more on the way with $100 specifically for the PGM division. The payouts are going to be impressive.

My son and I will be there and are planning on staying in a bunkhouse, but not sure if we'll be there friday late or early saturday morning. Depends on work and it's too far out right now to take a guess.

ummm, actually yes i am planning on playing this tournament and would like to pre-register also..is there a problem with doing either of these two things?kinda hard to pass up,when someone puts so much effort in raising over $1000 for the pro purses.

I just find it hard to believe that you would lower your high standards and actually play in a tournament that is being run by someone that you have gotten on this Forum and called a dumb @#$%&, despicable and classless.

Gary asked me to post a picture of the Open 1st Place plaque. This award will be a 9" by 12" Plaque. Gary has also authorized plaques for 2nd Place in all divisions except for the Novice and Junior players.

As I am sure you all know, Gary runs an absolutely first rate event, and I know the Rumble in the Jungle will be no exception!

See you all there!

I would like to thank F.L. Crane & Sons, Inc. for their $100 sponsorship. F.L Crane is one of the largest drywall contractors in the mid-south. Located in Southaven, MS they have worked on most of the casinos in Tunica. They offer a complete package of interior finishes including light gauge metal wall framing, hard and resilient flooring, suspended acoustical ceilings, hard ceilings and Exterior Insulated Finish Systems.

I have worked with F.L Crane on many projects and they have always done a first class job.

Preregistration.

Time is running out.

I will leave my house for work Wednesday morning 9/21 and get the sponsorship and registration money out of the bank that day. I am taking off work to head to Wall Doxey on Thursday morning 9/22. If I do not have your check by Tuesday 9/20 mail delivery you are not and will not be preregistered. If you wait until the last minute and you check is delivered Wednesday, Thursday or Friday be prepared to register in person in cash Friday night or Saturday morning.

I would like to thank W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company for their $100 sponsorship. Yates is out of Philadelphia, MS with branch offices around the country including one here in Memphis. They are the 40th largest General Contractor in the nation with a bonding capacity of around 3 billion dollars. Their casino work includes Sams Town, Hollywood, Roadhouse, Fitzgeralds, Beau Rivage, Delta Downs and Borgata.

My first project with them was Sams Town where they worked round the clock to build the original facility in only 7 months. Their capabilities and resources are awesome.

I would like to thank A.W. Parker, LLC for their $100 sponsorship. My wife, Beverly, is the office manager for this company. Wes Parker does taxes and is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. If you get into tax trouble he is one of those guys who can negotiate with the IRS for a reduced amount and payment plan. His fee for doing regular taxes is very reasonable. If you want your taxes done right stay away from thoses guys on the sidewalk dressed in the Uncle Sam costume and give Wes a call at 901-794-3528.

Wes may caddy for me at Wall Doxey. If you see a tall dark haired guy carrying my bag be sure to thank him for his contribution.

Barry Gill requested that I post all those who have preregistered. Easy enough:

Barry Gill PGM
Gary Wagoner PGM

If Barry and I are the only pros that show up I will pay 2 places and we will have a monsterous pay day.

I would like to thank Wright Property Management for their $100 sponsorship. WPM is the largest condo homeowners asociation managment company in Memphis looking after 23 facilities. They take care of all the common area maintenance issues, taxes, insurance, security, and other administrative duties that go with large multi-family complexes. I consult with this company with maintenance crosses the threshold into construction. They have been very good to work with.

I have $1,500 of sponsorship money in the bank. I want to be perfectly clear about one thing: it is not all going to the pro payout. I have expenses such as printing and sponsor discs to cover and I am going to pay for the trophies & CTP prizes. I may even subsize a portion of the cost of the tournament discs to shift some money towards the ams. Still, there is going to be a nice payday for the pros.

Attention Golfers, this is a tournament you DO NOT want to miss, if not for the fact that gary has worked his tail off to add all this $ to the fields then you might wanna come because this very well could be the last tournament at doxey. Myself and Madison stopped yesterday on the way to Copper Hills and played both courses, then decided to go in the pro shop....which is NOTHING compared to what it used to be, and were greeted by the new park ranger who told us they will not be ordering anymore discs because "its not worth it". I tried reasoning with this guy and he then stated there are a TON of parks pulling baskets out of the ground, i asked who he said paul white park....i have no clue where that is so it kinda told me his future plans for these beautiful courses. I could tell he was getting angry because i was argueing and trying to reason that its kinda dumb to pull 2 good courses that are already in the ground which brings $3 a car with no upkeep costs really but it went in one ear and out the other. PLEASE SHOW UP FOR THIS TOURNAMENT AND SHOW THIS GUY PEOPLE LOVE WALL DOXEY AND ITS COURSES, ITLL BE A SAD DAY IF AND WHEN THEYRE GONE!!!!!

My primary reason for running this tournament it to honor Lyle Richardson for his quarter century of service as park manager, but Robby has discovered a secondary objective that I have not discussed. There has been talk about pulling some or all of the baskets at Wall Doxey. The most persuasive argument for keeping the courses is the money and visitors they generate. I hope for a good turnout to produce a noticeable bump in the parks income to help justify the continued existence of the courses.

I would like to thank Webb Building Corporation for their $100 sponsorship. Webb is one of the premier mid-sized general contractors in Memphis. The have built a lot of schools in Tennessee and Mississippi. I first became aware of their capabilities while working as the contract administrator on the addition and renovation to Fairly High School here in town. They were a pleasure to work with. The head of the Memphis City Schools construction division has nothing but good things to say about them.

Brad Webb served for years as the Memphis Disc Golf Clubs secretary but rolled off of that responsibility last year to give more time to his new family. Special thanks go to Brad for this contribution.

Thanks, Griff,

I am hoping to see a lot of people there too. So far 3 people have pre-regustered: me, B. Gill & Jack Van Hooser.

Big Doug just called and said that he will be doing lunch Saturday and Sunday. That will allow folks grab a bite before the flip up doubles that will surely follow the main event.

Lyle is making a special trip up from Louisiana so this may be the last time anyone will get to see him.

Who plays to play in this tournament?
