Working on getting signed up for this event. Does anyone know if City Park is unplayable this weekend because of The Voodoo Experience?

Hey Urge, someone pointed out at the Howler today that we didn't quite exactly answer your question about what kinda plastic you get for signing up.

The answer is all players get either a tournament-stamped Glow Champion Destroyer or Champion Katana.

The discs and shirts are both in, hopefully Josh will post the tournament design soon.

Don't forget the free on-site lunch courtesy of Czarnowski's which includes chicken & sausage jambalaya, smoked BBQ pork and the trimmings! Also plenty of free cold beer.

Another question that was brought up at the Howler was the prize payout for pros. The pros will be paid in cash. 9 dollars of every pro entry fee is donated to Children's Hospital and the other $41 is being paid back in cash to the payout. Pros, just like the ams, get a shirt and a champion disc and free beer and free lunch just for playing too, a player's pack valued at......$40 each. It's quite the deal.

Here's what the payout tables will look like for each of the pro divisions (since they all have equal entry fees of $50):

#players=10
1st $200
2nd $110
3rd $70
4th $30

#players=9
1st $191
2nd $110
3rd $68

#players=8
1st $168
2nd $100
3rd $60

#players=7
1st $157
2nd $90
3rd $40

#players=6
1st $126
2nd $80
3rd $40

#players=5
1st $125
2nd $80

#players=4
1st $124
2nd $40

#players=3
1st $123

#players=2
1st $82

Yes we do Jason. We had a mad rush of signups last week but they have slowed a bit. I hope to get with Josh tonight and maybe get the registered players list posted.

Alrighty, here's tonight's update. Finally got a picture of the discs and t-shirt for everyone to check out:

Here's a close-up of the t-shirt design:

Whoops, that might have been a little bit too close up.

So, what kind of FREE BEER will we serving all day long you ask? Why, a keg of NOLA Brewery's NOLA Brown Ale for one:

And we'll have another keg of NOLA Brewery's finest but we don't know which of the following flavors it will be just yet:

Left to right: NOLA Blonde Ale, Hopitoulas, Smoky Mary, Hurricane Saison, Flambeau Red Ale, 7th Street Wheat

But there's more!

The winner of the Open division will win a custom-fitted blazer from Vernon's. Kinda like this one

Not sure exactly what color it will be, but it will be stylin'. And if Fowler wins, it'll go great with his holey t-shirt. Actually Vernon's is donating two blazers, the second one will go to the winner of either the Masters or Grandmasters division, probably the one with the most players out of those two.

Other prizes for the amateur divisions include a $100 gift certificate to New Orleans Music Exchange, three $25 gift certificates to Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, and 5 sets of pint ale glasses, plus lots and lots of other significantly schweet schwag too numerous to type.

There will be a long drive competition at lunch with two more great prizes: A big huge 120-quart New Orleans Saints Ice Chest and an electric Wine Cooler. $5 to enter.

What more could ya ask for?

LSU game starts after 7, and the tournament will be over by 5-5:30 with the 9:30 start. Plenty of time to get home and watch Bama get obliterated.

What will a $200 sponsorship get me? I will make the check out to the Children's Hospital. There is a goaltimate tournament in New Orleans that day that I am already committed to, but I would like to help if possible.

TD Josh is at grad school tonight Shane, I think he will have an answer for you after class. Too bad you can't attend, you'd look good in a blazer!

I have plenty of Blazers, i just want to help out for a really good cause. Children's Hospital does so much for so many families. This isn't even about golf to me.
