LUNCH ALERT!!!!

Lunch will be available for purchase at the Winter Fox. We will be selling tickets for a box lunch from Newk's Cafe to be delivered to the course after the first round. Cost will be $6 and will include a sandwich, chips, and a dessert. We are working on being able to provide a soft drink as well at no extra cost. You will need to purchase this at registration so that we can call in the orders. You will have a choice of turkey, ham, or roast beef on wheat bread or a croissant roll. Take advantage of this great deal and patronize one of our great sponsors as well.

Just gimme enough time at lunch to get to Rose's on Hwy 49 is all I ask! Fried corn on the cob and a turkey leg please.

Really rose's? Other than stricks they have to be the worst BBQ place to eat. You should try stone walls on weatherby behind lowes.

Obviously you have no idea what good BBQ is. You must be from "NEW YORK CITY" and like your sauce from a can!

All right now boys....lol. This is a disc golf thread not a BBQ thread. Just kidding by the way. My opinion is if you want BBQ in Hattiesburg you go to Leatha's.

Big Roses is aight with me. Two smoked chickens for $6. I mean I've definitely had better sauce, but the chicken is great. The last time I played in Memphis I hit Gus' fried chicken on the way out of town. & Big Rose's smoked chicken once I got to Hattiesburg. It was a delightfully chicken filled ride home. They also have nice big stryofoam ice cups forwhatever you might like to keep cold at Rose's. Which also makes the drive a bit more tolerable.

Please pardon my less edumicated compadres regarding thier BBQ Blindspot. Mikey though you are often communicating in another language, the language of BBQ is universal. Roses is indeed off the chain and the fried corn also known as "coronary on the cob" is worth checking out. Bernie, with your prodigious whiskers I recommend the Smoked Turkey Leg for more of King Henry the 8th look........Smokin Good!!!

I also recomend a visit to Letha's BBQ to anyone staying overnight in Hattiesburg or playing the SN Cup in April.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in the Hub City this weekend. Stay over and play some of our new courses.
Downtown Hattiesburg - Duncan Lake 18 holes,
South of Paul B. in Brooklyn - Ashe Lake 18 holes and 9 hole handicapped course,
South Hattiesburg exit #61 - Tatum Park 18 holes.
The Rusty Tractor Ridge, 9 holes (private See Skye and Joel Morgan) in Sunrise 15 min from Hattiesburg.
Not to mention Pearl River Landing (SN Cup Course) - 18 holes in Columbia 30 min West of Hattiesburg,
and Coming Soon the Ransom Jones designed Collins City Park Course.

Great Camping at PBJ so come stay a while and "Get your Huk On in the HubCity"

BBQ talk aside, please take advantage and purchase a lunch from Newk's to show them support for being one of our best sponsors. They help us out with water anytime we need it and have cut $3 off the normal price of this boxed lunch. Take advantage of not having to jump in your car, fly to one of the few local spots outside the park, and fly back to make the 2nd round tee time. Anyone who has eaten at Newk's before can tell you that you will be pleased with the food.

Sorry Wade didn't mean to distract from Newk's, but it's a tradition for me to eat Rose's when I play the Desert Fox.

Am I the only one who signed up early?

Yo Dale, think you or someone could add Duncan Lake to the directory over at Disc Golf Course Review.com? I never knew that course existed until now.

Also Tatum Park is listed as only 9 baskets on dgcoursereview.com...does it have 18 baskets now?

Just a small change in the schedule. Registration will begin at 7:30 and end promptly at 8:45. Player's meeting will be at 9:00. First round will begin at 9:30.

Don't forget to take advantage of lunch from Newk's being delivered to the course. Sponsors have been coming in nicely, but could always use more. If any club would like to sponsor a hole you may still do so at registration. The more sponsors we have the better we can make the payout.

Sorry for what may be a newbie to tournament play question, but anyone have an idea what time the tourney will end approximately? I need to be back in Baton Rouge for an event that night, so I'm just trying to get a feel for when I can be back. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a little cold and windy but the rain should be out by tomorrow and I really don't think we are going to get much today. Course will be a little damp in places but not bad. Water will be up some but not full yet. C'mon out and have some fun!
