Awesome to see some SN players doing so well. Keep it up Cam and Matt! Karen Jaskolka from Huntsville is also doing really good. She is on the lead card in the pro Master Women's division, only four off the lead. She was leading until the last round yesterday.

Southern Nationals are well represented

My man Harrison is making a move, looks like Cam is on fire

I am thinking the PDGA knows where Mobile is at

Speaking of...Mobile could probably host a pretty awesome World's with all the courses down there, including Citronelle.

Not sure if that would ever happen but it would be a lot of fun!

World's 2016 Committee? I hereby nominate....ha ha!

What is the average number of courses used at Worlds anyway? I read that the 14 this year are the most ever used.

This year is a combined Pro and Ams Worlds so it's much bigger with over 1000 players. Last year in Santa Cruz when they just had Pro, I think they only used 3 or 4 courses total.

When I played Am Worlds back in '05 or '06 in Tulsa, there were 6 courses used. Mobile does not have enough "Championship Caliber" courses as they currently stand.

Cam's in 6th, still within striking distance of the lead card at 4 strokes behind 4th. MattyO's gonna have to make a run tomorrow and Saturday if he wants to catch the leaders.

Ian Krajna , making a good showing in JRs 13 and under.

MattyO and Cam will be on the same card tomorrow for the semis. Looks like making the finals is a little far out of reach, but they should both have pretty decent chances of finishing in the top 10 as they are in 11th and 12th, respectively.

Looks like I spoke too soon, they re-arranged the cards and Matt will be on 3rd card with Cam on top of the 4th card.

The results page is confusing because it shows a RD7 plus the semis and finals, but there is no RD7, correct?

So 1st place in advance at worlds got payed $300 bucks, total player 288. Advance masters got payed 300 totals players 108. Advance female got payed 290 total players 48. Doesn't seem fair, 300 dollars?

hahaha its suppose to be the pDGA, so why does anything they do surprise you. How would you like to be one of the top 10 players in the WORLD and win a mere 1k...... the payout has been stuck/flat for Year$$$. as for the am$ side of things, you can bet someone got paid well :) and 300 retail is around 100 wholesale so that is even wor$e then it looks.....

lmao still lousy when you figure that is suppose to be the return on fees from an entire year for the entire divison.

Disc Golf = same lousy payouts at the worlds for 10+ years.........

Worlds is a joke for a payout for sure. Amateur payout looks small no doubt. I did however want to know for the sake of knowing as a TD. Would you have prefered all amateurs to get nothing in their players packs and have a big payout?

The players packs seemed to be nice from what I read about, which in this case reflected the payout. I'm not sure what the Amateur players paid for entry fee, but it looks as if they received it back in their players packs. Am I wrong on this?
Just some thoughts here and wanted to know other opinions.

Printed this already. An added 26% to the entry in all divisions to make them equal is one thing, but what's the opinion of the Amateur Divisions.

Honest opinion is that if Ams are looking for great payouts then they're playing the wrong division.

The player's pack is what the Ams get back for some of their entry. I read on another forum the contents of the player's pack and it sounded pretty good...several discs were included.

The rest of an Am player's entry is somewhat going to the experience and thrill of playing at the biggest, most high-profile tournament in the world. I played an NT event once and for me, an Am, the atmosphere alone held some value.

Pros play for cash. Ams play with a few perks here and there and to hopefully get better and be a Pro. Does not happen for everyone.

Just my opinion.

Elaine King takes 11th in Open Women. The seasoned queen of disc golf refuses the move to an age-protected division and still finishes in the money. Older women who kick @#$%& at disc golf are sexy.
