I've been wearing random hiking type shoes for play. But anybody have a specific shoe that works great for them, durability wise, but also comfortable?

I bought a pair of keen and they fell apart after 3 months. They sent me a brand new pair and guess what the tore up again. 3rd pair now. Torn up once again. The good thing is they will keep replacing them. But for hiking shoes? Disc golf should not be so damaging to them

My delavegas fell apart in 4 months

I've had a pair of shoes made by Montrail for about 4 years. They are gortex lined and have good traction. They are classified as a mountain running shoe.

I don't always play in them, but they have held up well.

Send them to Keen, they will send you a brand new pair. It's gonna be hard to find a shoe that can withstand all the abuse a disc golfer gives to it, so might as well find a good shoe with the best warranty. That's why I have Keen's

I have not tried the Keen's.
The favorite pair I've ever had are Merrell's.

I've had 3 pairs of keens and they've all torn up within a month.

Best solution, certainly not the easiest, is carpet tees. No wear on the shoes and great grip usually regardless on conditions.

I wear Merrells but they shred pretty easy. Vibram sole is good for feet and back.

New Balance 479 trail running shoes are my favorite shoe for disc golf and they always last me a long time.

a pair of velcro pro champs is the best that you can get

I don't wear them myself but I have a few friends that use skateboard shoes and they seem to hold up very well. Just not the best for wet conditions.

Depends on the tee boxes. For cement tees (when it's dry), I go with basketball shoes. They have good traction on cement without gripping too much and straining the knees. For dirt, etc, some nice, light hiking boots will do.

I have a pair of Salomon's. Best shoes I have ever bought. Great on the course, no matter the conditions.....the only downside is the price!

I don't think the warranty lasts that long, but its worth a shot

You won't get any shoe company to honor a warranty on a 2 year old shoe I wouldn't think. That is the reason Timberland pulled their warranty and started making cheaper shoes. Years ago Timberland was some of the best shoes you could buy with a great warrantly but folks tearing them up on purpose or cashing in on a old shoe(with reasonable wear) put them out of the business of making good shoes w/ great warranties. Some of their higher end hikers are still ok.

Saloman are great shoes if you wear a 13 and down, so I hear. They don't make a shoe that fits me.

I own 3 pairs of Merrell Chameleons and they are probably one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever played in. These have held up pretty well but I wear a waterproof Timberland when the conditions are wet and muddy and Merrells when it is dry.

I've had merrills and tore them up pretty easily. It's hard for me to find shoes in my size. I've been rocking a pair of Cabela's brand GTX X4's for a little bit now. They're very sturdy. I've put them through hell and they're still going strong. You can't go wrong with Gore-Tex.
