If Mobile has scored 195 in dubs why did we get 40 less points than Ft Walton Beach?

The scoring is 240-220-200-180-160-140-120-100-80-60-40-20 for each of the 3 doubles divisions. It is by spots in the standings, not total strokes.

Not sure how team "FWB" came to exist for 2013 ... no try outs or anything announced. Maybe next year we can do a real team FWB again and have try outs and everything again, who knows.

GOOD JOB everyone! Sounds like it was a blast.

Did Lafayette even play? Lol.

Looks like Doug Williams dominated.

Great job Baton Rouge! It was a fun filled weekend. Got to hangout with some old friends, and made few new friend in the process. Big thanks to both John Bowdin, and Jennifer Cline for stepping up to fill in our last minute team spots. Without your help filling in those two spot Lafayette wouldn't have had team at all, so Thank you very much from me and the rest of our team.

And as for you Dillon, all that needs to be said is this. At least Lafayette had a team there, unlike some other meow meow cities! LMAO

Not sure who "Joe Kool" is...better be @#$%& cool to be using "Snoopy's" alias though ;-) I think the 2013 FWB team was determined the same way last year's team was determined...hand picked. I was asked to play and accepted, that's what I know of the team this year. The other thing that I know is that I pretty much let this year's team down with a very poor performance in the individual round and skills tests...certainly didn't throw well at all. It happens. Some statistical points can be made if one would like to compare 2012 to 2013 team performance: 2012 finished 8th out of 11 teams. 2013 finished 6th out of 12 teams, which is an improvement. Another point of interest would be, FWB 2013 placed 3rd out of 12 teams in distance this year...pretty impressive considering our "home" course is Ferry Park. We also had to make some last minute roster changes. I'll step up to say, my poor performance probably cost us a place or 2 in the final standings. Can't wait for a tryout format next year, it was a fun weekend and would love to do it again!

You know as well as I do that the 2012 team had tryouts for every position for anyone that wanted to try out. I don't care how either team stacked up, played or finished, it would have been nice to know we "FWB" were having a team and for there to be some sort or try out for the team for those that could/wanted to make the trip. Last year there was even a FaceBook page made up announcing the Cup and try outs.

Maybe next year we can get it right and try to put "the best" forward, no matter how the scoring ends up, instead of picking a team but still calling it the Citys team. I probably still wouldnt' make the team IF I could get time off, but I'd give just about any advanced master out there in FWB a run for their money on my good days, and most of them a tough time even on my bad. B-)

Don't beat yourself up, it's a "team" event and any of us can have a bad day or two ... weeks sometimes.

Sidebottom... looked but could not find that... on the odds thread I did find a prediction from you, but it was not about Mobile... Congrats to P'cola, but we thought Sara would have been on Mobile's team!!! We wanted her for sure!!! Maybe next year...

Congrats to Baton Rouge and Team Pensacola. I was honored to play for Pensacola and had a great time. Maybe next year it won't be such a shock when we are near the top. The best TEAM will prevail not a team with some of the best players. I love this event and hope to be apart of the team next year.

Congrats to Mason McKay from Jackson for the longest throw in the distance. That was some good competition he was up against.

Sara would have been a welcomed player for team mobile, however Betty exceeded what we needed. She finished 1st or 2nd in every event but distance and doubles. She was the obvious runner up for women all cup teams and pulled her weight in doubles. Confirm that with hogman and Bernie.

100% correct Darryl. The woman spot for the All Cup Team was the tighest for sure. Betty did a great job and kept the tradition of the Mobile woman player going. And she had such a pretty shirt on Saturday. ..hehe betty.
