Summary of our transition to align the SN season with the calendar year
January 21, 2014 11:07PM
For statistical purposes, awards, and championship invites, this season will run exactly as every other season in the past has. Next season will be 7 months long (June 1, 2014, to December 31, 2014.

The exception is regarding the fees to be sent to the championship hosts. The three championships to be held in 2014 will receive fees from June 1, 2013, to March 15, 2014, (9 1/2 months). The three championships to be held in 2015 will receive fees from March 16, 2014, to December 31, 2014, (9 1/2 months). The purpose of this is to reduce the suffering that one set of championships would have from only receiving 7 months worth of fees.

Why the change? It was supposed to be two 9.5 month seasons, for points and for fee's. That is what the players wanted in the poll that was taken, this other idea was shot down.

I never saw a poll. I read all past minutes and that information was never conveyed in any minutes. It was also not edited in the handbook.

But, to answer your question, our concern was that this site lacked the capability to switch to a new season on March 16 and we did not want to put ourselves in a position where our hands were tied.

Once again the DJ didn't follow proper procedures.
It never happened if it wasn't in the minutes.
Lots to learn grasshopper....

It was never conveyed in minutes because chuck was supposed to contact the TD of this years snac/snpc and discuss with him what was going on before it was made public, this never happened. If you had asked the remaining members of the BOD they could have told you this. FYI the handbook nor the minutes are the end all be all.

So we are wrong for changing something that was never made public? If You can come up with any solution to allow it to be done they way it was "planned" on being done, I'll present it to the Board. Please don't say this can be handled on the New website, until that is a reality then I wont be making any votes that would require a new site.

If neither the handbook nor the meeting minutes are the end all be all, then what is? I would like something to refer to...

Additionally, the two options on that poll are both different than the conclusion which we reached. I would venture to say that most people who voted were more concerned with splitting the fees equally than the points.

The answer is to contact Brian Moon and have him roll the season over on march 16th instead of june 1st. not that hard to figure out

Our tournament results page is still stuck on 2011-2012, obviously it isn't that easy.

Niklpenny, stop complaining. You had your chance, quiters can't complain.

Maybe Dynamic Discs has the missing meeting minutes? Lol.

These are both wrong. I say june 2014-dec2014 with the championships to follow.

I meant to say june 2014 -December 2015. A long season. I'd rather have a td of the championships have a longer season to get prepared over a shortened season.

If we run 1 long season we would have to skip a year for the SNPC, which would put the USDGC qualifying spot that SN gets for the SNPC in jeopardy. From what I was told, but who knows....

CALENDAR

and USDGC spots at the SNPC>? who cares about this that matters?

I'm not sure what you are asking but the SNPC will retain its USDGC qualifying status. Actually, I was told second hand that the USDGC preferred us move to Memorial Day rather than Labor Day which is so close to the USDGC.
