Quick question: If we post an event on the NON SN sanctioned forum. Can we keep promoting and have a discussion on that post or are we limited to the Flyer, Ad/Link to another website?

Sorry for being lazy here. I didn't want thumb through all the post in this thread. Wasn't sure if this was answered yet.

Yes, you may keep promoting.

I have not read everything on this post.. but quickly wanted to post this regarding the topic at hand.

Why was there ever a attempt to ban non SN tourneys in the first place from being posted? I thought we were to grow the sport..

And if I am no mistaken.. if there was a said vote to single out those non SN tourneys... wouldn't our Championships be apart of those that are singled out? Since.. they are more times then not PDGA tier tourneys? (( I find that odd but that's a whole different topic all together ))

Idk.. maybe I am not active enough to understand this logic.. What is there to gain by going only SN ?

Some people felt that the removing non SN events would grow the SN. Their thinking was that people took advantage of the SN by using the website to promote events and they could simply pay SN fee's if they wanted to promote on the website. Obviously not everyone agreed with this including many of the tournament directors that sanction with us and host non sanctioned events as well. The Board was able to meet in the middle ground and decided to start a new forum on here for those events. SNC's are not part of the discussion, I'm not sure why You would think they would be, the only one that is PDGA/SN is the SNPC, the other 2 are only SN unless the TD decided to duel sanction for some reason.

Ah so it's more then just a PDGA vs SN thing. That makes more sense. An the " grow SN " is understandable. But at the same time i'm one of those that want to see more PDGA events then SN.. but I will continue to support our local area SN stuff. :)

It is true that the SNC's are not SNQ's.

Just because they are not SN qualifiers does not make them not SN tournaments.
