OK, real question here. I have never been to a tourney at Rivendell. What's the deal on parking? The lot outside the gate isn't big enough to hold that many cars.

For the parking, they open the gates on the side so you can drive down the gravel road and park along the sides. Last year they camped about 50 yards are so from 18's basket. And yes you are free to come and go as you please. Hey, I'm not Mike, but I've been there enough times to know what's happening.

i have to go to prcc in the morning for a job fair. i should be done about 9:15. if you are there let me know. 4003058
yes the side gate will be open. park on that gravel road if you like, or park in the front lot, or anywhere you feel you won't get hit by a disc. hole #24 is taking up some of the traditional parking and camping area, it will be roped/taped off so cars should avoid it. there is also room up front this year for some campers. the shower(bathtub) is working right now and has hot water-hope it lasts, it's a bit tricky and could use a good electrician to check the hot water heater.

as of 10 o'clock thursday night there has been almost no rain. the pro (white) tees have been covered with corugated tin sheets in an effort to sheild them from any overnite rains. the weather people are calling for off and on rain all day friday, but no rain and 60-70 degree temps saturday and sunday.
a.m. weather report live from rivendell farm: a line of showers passed thru early this morning (friday) and dropped about 1/4 inch of rain. the course is not muddy at this time, just damp. the rain is supposed to end before saturday morning's 10 a.m. tee-off.

it wouldn't be madness without some rain on the fri before the event!!

btw, thanks to all the sponsors who really stepped up this year.

imo the dg community needs to do something special for the original fish. he da man!! thanks pat!

think of how many events he has thrown down $ponsorships for (to the tune of 500 a pop, lately...)

i nominate fish as the king of the krewe of rivendell?

or get him something more practical like drysocks and caddy? :^p

seriously, thanks to folks like pat fisher, rob williams and all the other people and business that support mikeys efforts (and other TDs too) and sponsor this special, one of a kind event. we are fortunate as competitors! how many events have any of us ever been to that serve becks & brisket & chicken & real veggies etc... included in the entry fee? :)

high cotton. :^p

hooters mardi gras madness! undoubtably one of the best events in the south, imo...
rain update: i just hope this 1 1/2 inches of rain we have received in the last hour drains quickly.

friday's doubles event scheduled for 2-3 pm tee-off may be cancelled in order to save the tee boxes for saturday and sunday's rounds. i will keep y'all posted and will decide after this wave of rain ends, hopefully soon.

saturday and sunday: no rain expected. highs in the upper 60's.

A doubles update would be great. I hope it isn't cancelled b/c I need some money!
Tony and I will be leaving H-Burg about 12:20 today to come down there.
Rain Go AWAY!
the rain appears to be letting up so we will start doubles at 3:00.

teeing off to the side of the tee boxes will be strongly encouraged, we probably will let you tee-off up to 20 feet in front of the boxes so they will dry better fro tomorrow. thank you.
