I DON'T KNOW WHERE THEY ARE. THAT IS WHY I WAS ASKING.

P.S.(MAYBE YOU COULD BUY ME A NEW COMPUTER WITH ALL OF THE MONEY YOU MADE OFF OF THE PLAQUES LAST WEEKEND.)

I was just joking Bern,
and if you were not such an idiot for saying that about the trophies you would know that we donated serious money for those trophies.

dont tell me you are another fool who thinks everything should be free and everyone is out to get you.

OK EXPLAIN IT SIMPLY TO AN IDIOT LIKE ME. WHY DON'T YOU TELL US EXACTLY WHAT YOU GAVE TO THE TOURNEY. BECAUSE I SAW THE EXPENSE LIST FOR OPEN DIVISION, WILL HAD POSTED, AND IT SAID $550 FOR SN DUES, PDGA DUES, AND PLAQUES. THERE WERE 7 PEOPLE IN THE DIVISION THAT IS $30 TO PDGA, $14 TO SN, AND THAT LEAVES $506 FOR THE PLAQUES. I MEAN THEY WERE NICE PLAQUES AND ALL. BUT I KNOW THAT EVERYONE IN MY GROUP THE LAST ROUND, AND AS A MATTER OF FACT EVERYONE I TALKED TO ABOUT IT, THOUGHT THAT $506 OR $500 OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT FOR THE PLAQUES IS TOTAL BS. AND IF THAT IS HOW MUCH THEY REALLY COST THAN WHOEVER BOUGHT THEM IS AN IDIOT, NOT ME. WHEN I ASKED WILL ABOUT IT, HE SAID "THEY ARE NICE PLAQUES." AND HE IS RIGHT, BUT NOT THAT NICE.

P.S.(I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE PAYOUT AND TOURNEY EXPENSES SHEET IN CASE ANYONE WANTS TO DISAGREE WITH THESE AMOUNTS.)

Re: 2005 LA States - 3-4 Dec

AND I FORGOT TO MENTION, I WAS ALSO TOLD WILL GOT THE PLAQUES FROM YOU FISHMAN.
Re: 2005 LA States - 3-4 Dec

so you assume we were paid 506.00 for the trophies?

at that rate each hand made hand painted trophy cost 16.86 oooh thats expensive!

the reality is that we collected 13.33 a piece and paid the rest ourselves.

actual cost being over 900.00

which when you consider that the cost of engraved plates on each one totalled more than 100.00 and the paint cost was a little more than 25.00 that does not sound too bad to me. Thats over 4.00 per trophy for paint and engraved plates

crawl back under your rock or go to a trophy store and check some prices please.

what is with the camera bs, are you for real?

NO, THAT WAS $506 JUST FOR THE OPEN DIVISION. THAT MEANS 3 PLAQUES COST OVER $150 A PIECE. BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT, AND SO DOES EVERYBODY ELSE. SO STOP TRYING TO PLAY STUPID. STUPID!

Then it is not me you should be talking to because all I know is what we were paid.

150.00 is a far cry from 13.00 I know there were some other tropies there maybe that is what you were looking at.

506.00 for 3 trophies...wow somebody owes me some money!

I hope you straighten this out with everybody you mistakenly blabbed the nonsense to.
Re: 2005 LA States - 3-4 Dec

was 900 spent on trophies? if so that is very step. with 91 players that is alittle less than 10 a player:{
Russell, what where you paid? how many trophies? Put a quick end to this before this is a repeat snac! What will paid will be fine, as he would be resonsiable for the marked up number.

we collected 400.00 for 30 trophies= 13.33 each with a promise of another 50.00 (read fifty dollars)not some other fairy tale amount. making it an even 15.00 each when we collect.

our sponsorship was 50% of this total cost of trophys.

Trophys that would have ordinarily sold for a total of 900.00 for 30 not 506.00 for three as the poor little fool thinks.

trophys that would ordinarily average out to around 30.00 a piece, a little less for the small ones and a little more for the big ones. still not a bad price for unique hand crafted trophies made the old fashioned way by little gnomes, one at a time!

The trophy is @#$%& cool! That's the first trophy I've ever gotten in disc golf and it looks great in the room.

thanks Jose. the trophies are the last ones like that for a while, our supplier hurt his back and isn't doing much cutting or welding for a while.

I NEVER SAID THEY WEREN'T NICE TROPHIES. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH YOU GOT PAID FOR THEM. BUT I DO KNOW HOW TO ADD AND SUBTRACT. AND I KNOW WHAT THE PAYOUT AND EXPENSE SHEET SAID. IF $550 WAS TAKEN FOR EXPENSES IN OUR DIVISION, THAT JUST SEEMS LIKE A LOT. AND IF MY TROPHY COST OVER $100, I WOULD RATHER HAVE THE MONEY. AND THAT WAS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS IN THE OPEN DIVISION.

P.S.( THIS ALL STARTED WITH ME ASKING ABOUT THE TOURNEY RESULTS. WHICH I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN. )

we can not comment on the expense sheet , just on what we were paid.

maybe you didn't see the numbers correctly, (not saying you can't see or read) but I have seen many TDs write out payouts and expenses and most have "unique" ways of writing them out. I agree taking $550 from just the pros is alot. but I do not know of other expenses that were incurred. Maybe you should call Will and ask him.

I am sorry bernie, but you do now know exactly what we were paid for them.

I think I listed it in my previous post VERY clearly.

once again the proverbial witchhunt following the tournament with fingers pointed in our direction.

what is it exactly, fear of the unknown?

Psycho-Fish Disc Golf is an honest legitimate legal business partnership that is run by two average disc golfers in louisiana that would like to see the sport grow and are committed to the long term big picture.

we don't have any illegal habits that we need to subsidize and we are both gainfully employed outside the scope of Psycho-Fish.

IN other words all we need to do is pay our expenses and grow at a reasonable rate, heck we dont even give ourselves a discount on the merchandise we purchase from our own business, so that we can keep the inventory as well stocked as possible for all of you.

If you need some plastic come see us at the next tourney we attend, we are not some evil empire. Although you might have earned yourself a spot on a do not sell list.

just kidding but dont think that I have not considered it.

Bernie, as an open player I must agree that no money should be taken out of the purse for trophies. If someone wants to sponsor one than great!

I can see where Bernie could be confused here. Russell said they gave them the trophies for half of there cost. He went on to say 900 would be the actual cost. So if A TD then posted the payout not reflecting the spononsorship, I could see where one could be confused. Not sure if that is what happened, or not but maybe. I do however leave the details to those who where there.

Nose that maybe the only trophy that would be worth 900.00:}~~~~~~~~

what I said was "we collected 13.33 a piece for the trophys and paid the rest ourselves" 13.33 X 30 = 400.00
this was paid by the tournament

the difference between 400.00 and the actual 900.00+ retail was covered by Psycho-Fish.

Well Bob, since you weren't there, couldn't Bernie have asked Will about it at the tournament? Hell he even talked about it during one of his rounds.

I had to pay $450 for the plaques (of which $50 I still owe). Normally I would have just gone with the BREC plaques, and had a bit more money to pay out with, but instead, it was one more thing that was taken out of the sponsorship money.

I still think that paying out nearly 200% of the money taken in for a division is not a bad payout.

Hell, if I had payed out like the PDGA wanted, it would have even been more diluted.

Get more players = higher payout.

$300 for 1st place when there was $350 put in, and that isn't good enough?!?

What-ever,

Keep it up and we'll run off another TD that get's no respect - Goodie!

Sounds like good payout for a crappy turnout. I think you can blame the PDGA a little bit for that, Will. As late as two weeks before the tournament it still wasn't listed on the PDGA web site. Not sure when it finally got on there. Sorry I didn't make it, although I'm kinda glad since I would have had no shot against those guys with that small a field. I need some more pro-wannabe hacks like myself to dilute the division :p
