There is no Hobbit Park - it is SPRINGHILL Disc Golf Course

Posted by BUD
LET'S SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT---- There is no such place as HOBBIT PARK-- there is a small park here named McLean Park but NO Hobbit-- years ago the hippies used to come here do drugs and run wild-- that is who called this area Hobbit Park. The people here and city officials have a bad view of the name Hobbit Park and we would be well served to avoid useing it - the negitives associated with that name should and would be be avoided . I like Springhill Disc Golf Course or McLean Greens or even the Headrick after Steady ED-- if you have an idea for a name please let me hear it - you could have the privilage of naming a course( not after yourself please!!!!!) HAPPY FLIGHTS, BUD

name it rivendell :^p

or "the shire"

or maybe mordor since the struting crow folks think it is hell. :^p

just kidding... (references to the book for those who haven't read it)

springhill seems like a great title... something with hill in to would be a proper description of that course and quite appropriate :)

Name the rascal "PURGATORY" For some it is heaven, others its hell. I seem to be in LIMBO (can't blame that on DG).

MNS, Chernobyl
Loved the park always, whatever the name........

Nice to know why you've always been against that name for the park Bud, it all makes since now. My vote is for

Bud's Hill - no too close to Memphis

DDC (drainage ditch course) - no that has been used for double-disc-court

I like the real name of McLean Park, because if the park is on a Mobile City map, people will be able to find it there.

That is my vote,
Willy BT
Springhill Disc Golf Course at McLean Park????? I kind of like McLean Green--- knickname the Mean Green -come on folks lets hear some ideas!! BUD

If you want to keep "hill" in the name, why not Jimmy Hill Memorial Park, named after one of the original Mobile disc golfers. I am sure Mr. Hill would be honored.
