Eligibility/Qualifying
All current members of the Professional Disc Golf Association are eligible to qualify for the Championship by attending any of the chosen Regional Qualifiers. The top 10 finishers based on score, regardless of division, will earn the right to compete in the Championship. Any player finishing in the top 10 that has previously qualified at an earlier event, or who has received an exemption will be excluded and the next highest overall finisher will become eligible. Any players tied for the 10th position will also be invited.

Professional World Championships - Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Professional World Championships will serve as a Regional Qualifier for the U.S. Championship. The top 10 finishers from the Open Division will be invited to compete at Winthrop.
Amateur World Championships - Nashville, Tennessee
The Amateur World Championships will serve as a Regional Qualifier for the U.S. Championship. The top 10 finishers from the Men's Advanced Division will be invited to compete at Winthrop.
State Representatives
The U.S. Championship extends the right to all PDGA State Coordinators to select a competitor to represent their state in the Championship. For more information on the qualifying procedure for your state, please contact your State Coordinator.

Entries
The field size will be limited to 144 players. All eligible players, including those receiving exemptions, must complete an official application for entry and return it to the USDGC office for review and approval.
An entry fee totaling $225.00 is to be paid by each player attending the Championship. A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 is included in the total fee and will be required at the time an entry is submitted. The balance may be sent at any time during the year but no later than October 1, 2001.
