John,
Great job bro!!!

I have a couple of questions:

Has the money for the Brad H. issue been factored into the accounting?

What is the "- $500 from SN account to help offset PDGA fees " mean?

I am not trying to stir up any crap, just asking....

Thanks!!!

No worries Kieth ...ask away!!

The last couple of years the SN Board has used some of the $0.25 collected from the $2 SN fee to help offset the pdga $10 non-member fee. The SNPC has always been pdga sanctioned to because of the USDGC spots. The pdga non-member fee has never been passed down to the SN community that aren't current members of the pdga at OUR championship and never will be. The pdga non-member fee was increased from $5 to $10 about 4 years ago. SInce the increase the SN Board has donated $500 extra a year to help offset those additional expenses.

As for the SNPC money. No that hasn't come out of the SN account yet. I'm in the process of contacting the affected players and getting their addresses and writing checks. Ginger is taking came of the trophies. Thanks Ginger!!

Any other questions anybody has feel free to ask....

John,

I have a quesion, please, regarding the line item: - $478 - 2010-2011 SN fees collected post SN Championships. Does this figure represent an amount that would have gone to the 2011 championship tournaments had it been paid on time?

Let me help John.I,m fairly certain that any and all fees collected for the 2010-2011 would be applied to the 2011 championship. The qiestion pretty much answers itself.Kinda like does a double cheeseburger come with cheese. Please put the flask down during this holiday seson and do not attempt to drive or answer your own questions...LOL

I am glad you were able to clear that up. Perhaps you can explain this to me. How can SNDG fees collected for the 2011 championship that were sent in late be applied to that event after it is already over and done with?

Gary, you were correct the $478 represents sn fees that were collected AFTER the 2011 SN championships. I'm not sure how they will be applied. In my previous stint as treasurer any fees collected after the fact where applied to the applicable championship/ divisions the following season. I still feel that to be the correct course of action.......

Sorry wagoner. It was a joke sir.Yes it has been explained in previous history that all fees collected after the date would be applied towards the next years championship.thank goodness they were not applied to this years after hearing of tournament central at the pros event being conducted out of tbe back of a pick em up truck..lol..gives a new meaning to pick up truck i guess.hey thats where you pick up your scorecards.lol.happy holidays sir.lets have a drink.
Re: SN Treasurer State of the SN Account - Updated 7 December 2011
December 29, 2011 08:58PM
John,

Where I was headed with this was that even though the TDs did eventually pay the fees that were entrusted to their care, their tardiness deprived the 2011 tournament winners of their rightful share of the money collected for the payouts. This underscores the importance of prompt submission of the fees that is being discussed on another thread. Turning in the fees after the championship is over is certainly not as bad as not turning them in at all, but it is a close second. I agree with your proposed disposition of the funds.

Gary

"What two tournaments are exempt?"

Exempt may not be the correct term for both of them.....

1. The Dirty Bird Open from 8/13/2011, the TD was Bill Bullington. He had asked me to take the SN fees owed for that tournament from the SN Fees sent to the 2011 SNPC (as had been done in the past for past SN Championship hosts). I forgot to take them out, so they were applied to the 2011 SNPC. That is also the reason why I have now asked all SN Championship hosts to send all their SN fees to the treasurer, then the SN money for each SN Championship will be sent to the host by the treasurer to ensure that everything is accounted for.

2. The recent April Fool Fling Doubles SNPC Fundraiser. TD was Robbie Harris. He asked the SN Board to waive the SN fees for this SNPC Fundraiser, which we did. The logic was all the fees would go back to the SNDC, they benefited from the 25cents of each $2 typically collect because that portion didn't go to the SN account for SN expenses.

Also there was a correction there are only 10 singles tournaments outstanding and 1 doubles.....none are delinquent past 2 months. 7 are within the last month.
