1. Discussed removal of posts deemed off-topic in SN tournament Thread.Voted on deleting posts and monitoring for next 30 days to see if we should add punishments for repeat offenders
vote 5-0 passed

2. Proposal to make the SN Champs have a minimum requirement of 3 tournaments played, in order to qualify.
vote 4-1 to start a players poll on the topic.

3.Vote to ban Mike Kernan from the SN forums until Jan 1st 2015. Banned for past indiscretions in forum threads.
Vote 3-2 passed

4. Vote to ban Dillon Gourley from the SN forums until Jan 1st 2015. Banned for past indiscretions in forum threads
Vote 4-1 passed

5. Vote to Move SN Season's to calendar year.
vote 5-0 passed

6. Vote to begin requiring a $20 deposit for tournaments, at the start of next season.
vote 3-2 passed

7.Discussed the Design of T-shirts and Bag Tags, artwork being submitted for approval.
Tabled pending approval of artwork

8.Discussed the website, set a deadline of Feb 1st 2014, discussed the meeting Date with web designer.
Tabled till said meeting is confirmed

Why not make the $20 fee for first time TD's and TD's who have failed to meet the 90 day mark in the past. To My knowledge the last 3 who didn't pay the fees had all been first time TD's

Will you change the handbook to reflect rule changes before they become effective?

3. & 4. Does the ban include reading or just posting? Either way I think the factual and rule basis for forum banning should be made public. Just report what the person wrote or did that was wrong and the rule they violated. I don't think there is or should be a rule against posting "indiscretions", after all posting on a forum is never discrete. Don't make it look like you are banning just to avoid criticism.

Changing to the calendar year season (5.) is bold and I believe the will of the majority of the players. OTOH a sanctioning deposit (6.), last time I could check, was clearly not the will of the majority of the players. I'm way against you guys starting a poll then deleting it. It makes it look like you don't care what the players want. I know it's more trouble to explain yourself but it is worth the effort.

Both of the polls started about the deposit were in favor of the deposit, from the majority of players.

3. & 4. The past indiscretions for the two players is way to vast to list them. If you have been using these forums for more than a few month's you should already have a good idea as to how many negative hijackings there was and could be, which was way more than there ever should have been. For the past few months we have been carefully monitoring the Tournament forums to insure tournament threads not be hijacked at the amusement of these two. We have had to edit more than a few threads. Both Mike and Dillon can still come on a read the post but are no longer allowed to write post on any threads.

6. The poll that was up reflected 7 more votes in favor of the deposit for sanctioning. We the BOD's had a vote and the majority was for it.

I'm in favor of a deposit for new events and TDs. I don't think a deposit is warranted for clubs/TDS who have been doing events for several years. So does this mean that beginning Jan. 1st or June 1st that no event will be on the schedule until the $20 deposit is paid?
