Can't believe no one is talking about this on here.

How dare he insult the glorious leader.

is what I said until saw the video. Have another round, Hank.

On the other hand, selfish, pouty liberal children make references to Hitler as a response to anyone who disagrees with them about anything, anywhere at any time, so fair's fair. Actually, there's test you can use to easily figure out how full of it you are in these instances. "If it were Bush, would we even be having this conversation?" And I think you know the answer.

So, to recap, Jr. is a bozo, but the lock-step lefty media can lick my balls.

Really Chris... have you forgotten about the Dixie Chicks fiasco?

They weren't removed from just one show on one night a week... they were GONE!

I have no problem with Hank Jr being fired, but his situation was nothing like the Dixie Chicks. If you're a country band, the last thing you want to do is bash a conservative President. And you don't turn around and bash the most popular country singer at the time for good measure. They were gone because they pissed off their whole fanbase. On the other hand, I haven't talked to one person that has complained about Hank Jr. He got fired because of the media backlash.

Um, you mean the band that was lauded as heroes by the lefty establishment and given a grammy for its trouble? Those Dixie Chicks? To this day, they're darlings of liberal idiocy. Try again. Try harder.

And conservatives aren't raising Hank on that same paper mache pedestal.

Anyone in the public eye who makes remarks about our leaders or a hot topic can expect a backlash. It's all about what's good for business.

Sorry Dillon, but the only people that should "expect backlash" for remarks about YOUR LEADER is military personal. They actually work for him.

Everyone else should say what they want when they want.......Remember this is still the United States of America.......We still do have freedom of speech, except if your a cajun and have to deal with a school teacher from Huntsville, but I digress. Point he can say what he wants. Unlike the SN Forum...........

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from backlash. If you say something that your employer believes could put them in a negative light, you were free to say it but you will definitely feel the backlash.

And why do people assume there should be freedom of speech on the internet?

Because we are still living in America.......The same place that gave you the freedom to open you disc golf business and advertise it on this site without backlash from the site Adm. even thought he might only like discraft disc.......

Websites work the same way as any other private establishment. If you go into a restaurant and start saying things the owner doesn't want to hear, he can throw you out. If the owner of this website only likes discraft discs, he has every right to remove other advertisements. If he doesn't want certain language to be used on his forum, he has the right to censor people. Freedom of speech doesn't exist in private places.

It is private property belonging to someone and not paid for by tax dollars. It is open to the public, but that does not make it public property.

sorry Justin, you are still wrong...my money is used to pay for it, so is yours. That makes it PUBLIC. It is only private, if it has members that pay for access. Ask an attorney.
Re: Guess his friends aren't so "rowdy" anylonger.

LOL... so is MY computer store public? Is my house public? People's money are used to pay for them.

It's private. Your freedom of speech allows you to guy and buy a website and say whatever the F you want on it. No one can take it down. But get this... actually that's not accurate. Of course the law can take it down if it's breaking it (child porn or whatever)... BUT also the company that you PAY to host the site can remove it. If they decide that they don't like your content they can pull your website. You DON'T have freedom to use THEIR private property to do whatever you want.

Even with MY server in MY HOUSE I can still get shut down. If Cox doesn't like what I have on it, they can order me to take it down. Sure depending on the content I have recourse and COULD sue them (and probably win)... BUT there is content in which they could say "no, we don't allow that" and they would likely win in the court of law.

Go walk around the white house saying you want to do certain activities to the president and see how well that works out for you. It's speech, why isn't it protected? Hell, that's probably even considered popular speech by many of you rednecks! ;)

So, more government control is the answer? And of course, as the Greeks warned you fools over 2500 years ago, once the number of citizens on the dole/government employment reaches 51%, the people will just vote themselves more perks, "basic human rights" and freebies. Know why your peeps no longer use the utopian Euro-example? Seems the "superior system" couldn't feed all of the mouths. And when they had to cut benefits, a lot of it came from retirement plans (as it will here, which will likely start another "movement"), plans the people themselves had no say in because they gubment said "we got this."

And of course, with more socialism and less self-determination, people have far less or no motivation to excel. This has the overall effect of people being simply unwilling to work, knowing that their life would be no different no matter what they did (unless of course, you're a government official - the new privileged class).

Please tell me you're not one of these people, Kevin. I'm not stupid enough to think that future "demonstrations" will continue to be comprised of stoner college kids. I've been to the "immigration rallies" in DC. I've seen the hundreds of marxist rabble rousers, your future lieutenants. Or, ooh. Maybe you made lieutenant yourself. Could be the reason for the shaved head. A couple of my old hippie buddies recently did the same thing (and got all serious). Please say you're not, because I possess neither the ignorance that would lead be to believe this will stay peaceful nor the soft heart necessary to keep me from shooting you if I see you and your red t-shirt, black pants wearing idiot minions "raging against the f---ing machine" in this town.

Marxism is a lie, Kevin. It's a BS story told to uneducated poor people to get them to be the foot soldiers for those who want power and nothing else. Implement it, watch it fail in a most oppressive, miserable way (as always), and then see a REAL concentration of wealth in this country and throughout the world in the aftermath, one with no antitrust laws and 99% in the hands of 1% of 1%. Don't believe me? Russia currently has more billionaires than any country on earth, yet their economy is one of the most desperate. That's what the powers want - no middle class and themselves as unquestioned, hereditary oligarchs. Don't be stupid enough to give it to them.

I'm confused. Where did anyone say that more government control is the answer? I believe Kevin was just saying that the rights of a property owner trumps your rights when you are on his property.

The anti-corporate cries at these things all end with "yay socialism." Can't have more socialism without more government control. He's an avowed socialist, and seems to think the corps are keeping people down through the policing of their own property.

As for the "it's speech" comment, I know he can't be ignorant enough not to understand the legally recognized speech restrictions, collectively known as the "yelling fire in a crowded theater" doctrine. Yeah. Sorry people can't openly express their desire to kill the Pres., dude. Must feel like Nazi Germany to you, or more appropriately, the USSR.

He's right about one thing, though. Most PC is just a business decision, like when Cheese Nips became Cheese It. I have never met anyone who thought of Asians when they heard the words Cheese Nips, but the corporate feeling is that if they lose even one idiot customer, it's not worth having a pair. Of course, lost revenue due to boycotts by people who think your company is run by PC wussies is harder to quantify in a nice, boardroom graph.

It does seem like he's participating in an entirely different discussion. *shrug*

I find it hilarious that people are stupid enough to think the right wing will save us from the left wing. Try not to be such a dumbass, trickle down boy.

Partisanship proves you're brainwashed. All politicians take money from lobbyists, brainiacs.
Thing is, the RW takes far more from corporate lobbyists, so to claim the RW are somehow clean... proves how phuckin stupid you are. Got it.

Try not to be a dumbass like Chris. He thinks his daddy's dogma is gospel. His Father was a Democrap before he was a Republican't.
He was a public official turncoat. Only a slimeball becomes a politician, right? Name ONE good politician.

Nuff said. Genetic douchebagisms.

People like Chris are spoon fed spoiled brats. His words are nothing but the drivel of a spineless punk beotch coward little BOY.
He is a proven punk. I poured water on his head and he did nothing. What a little coward. No wonder you can't grow a beard. ROFLMAO
