Thanks! Played there this am. Haven't played City Park NO yet. How does it compare to Lafreniere?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Which of these is the latest map? or I would think the NO team website one but I wasn't sure. Also, is there a scorecard for this course available online? Thanks!by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Took 3 kids out there sat and played 9 holes...it's a good starter course for young kids not ready for Highland, etc. My son did get some poison ivy though...not sure what area but beware.by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Big Time Bump :) So there are 9 baskets out there still but still no semblance of teeboxes...anyone tried to play there of late? Any word on any new Ascension Parish Courses?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
What's the current status of Highland? Are there still 18 playable holes?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
I was going to try and play this new (relatively) course. I was trying to find it on the PDGA Course Directory (it's not there). I was looking for info such as: directions to course course map score card course hours Can someone point me to a website that would have that? TIAby Ascension Acer - General Discussion

I remember the planning for this but didn't know the timing...any word on when 4-6 will be unusable? How about when the 6 new holes (other side of the Amiss Road) will be ready?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
More than the loss of old 13 and old 14? What else is changing? roadracerx Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > enjoy it while you can because it's gonna be > changing soon! > been saying that for years but it really isby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Thanks for the help...I may try both after old 18 and then in between 4 and 5 and see what makes the most sense.by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Played Highland the other day for the 1st time in a while...had alot of trouble finding the tee pads and baskets for holes 13 and 14. When are most people playing those (in between what holes)?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Thanks...played it this morning...new 13 and 14 are hard to find and new 13 doesn't have a number on the basket. When do people usually play those 2? After 18?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Hadn't been there in a while and saw some discussion about renovations, etc. How many holes are currently playable?by Ascension Acer - General Discussion

The old ladies in the Scrabble tournaments behave themselves. It is obvious that Disc Golf would get more play with national media and sponsors if it were seen as a more professional sport where the players conduct themselves as such.by Ascension Acer - General Discussion

Oak Grove area residents propose activities for new park By DARLENE DENSTORFF Ascension section editor Published: Mar 22, 2007 OAK GROVE — Disc golf, fishing, nature trails, horseshoes, a place for pets to play and lots of open space to picnic are all possibilities for a new park in the Cotton Bayou area. A small group of residents met at the Oak Grove Community Center on Mondayby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
Wow...that place is up there...looks like a huge park but it's a very long haul from where the BR population has been/is heading (Ascension and Livingston). That's what I'm talking about!!! Anybody talked to Cheryl Kinchen recently? I will contact my Parish Council representative again (she is on the Rec Committee) and ask her to fully suppot more disc golf in Ascension. Now if we just can get some people in contact with her that actually know anything about course design, we will be somewhere (the Duplessis park setup is weak...unless they updateby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
I was watching the Ascension Parish Government Channel and they had this live Recreation Committee meeting on. Cheryl Kinchen was there as the head of the Rec department. They had people come up and talk about BMX and skateboarding. They had a video on BMX to try and sell the idea of bringing it to the Parish. Who plays disc golf and lives in Ascension Parish? Whoever does, we need to seeby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
I will be in the Austin area (more specifically north of it in Pflugerville) for a 4 day weekend this weekend. I want to try and play a few courses, in that area, while I am there. I see that I have a good # (15+) of choices within a 30 minute drive. I played a couple of courses last time I was in the Austin area: Old Settlers Park in Round Rock...it has a 969 foot hole. I noticed that none have been done for LA (and very few in the South really). Any thoughts about getting 1 done for Highland? I think it would fare pretty well. AAby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
I played at this one in Dunedin, FL that was also a ball golf course. You had to rent a cart for like $5. It was a Fly 18 course (had those black mats for teepads). www.fly18.com AAby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
