Took 3 kids out there sat and played 9 holes...it's a good starter course for young kids not ready for Highland, etc. My son did get some poison ivy though...not sure what area but beware.by Ascension Acer - General Discussion

The old ladies in the Scrabble tournaments behave themselves. It is obvious that Disc Golf would get more play with national media and sponsors if it were seen as a more professional sport where the players conduct themselves as such.by Ascension Acer - General Discussion

It's his 4th win of the year...how many wins do you think he should have? With 2 WC and a 2nd in the last 3 years, I would say that he is a PTPer (Prime Time Player) as Dick Vitale calls it. That's what I'm talking about!!! Anybody talked to Cheryl Kinchen recently? I will contact my Parish Council representative again (she is on the Rec Committee) and ask her to fully suppot more disc golf in Ascension. I was watching the Ascension Parish Government Channel and they had this live Recreation Committee meeting on. Cheryl Kinchen was there as the head of the Rec department. They had people come up and talk about BMX and skateboarding. They had a video on BMX to try and sell the idea of bringing it to the Parish. Who plays disc golf and lives in Ascension Parish? Austin area courses - 6 years ago
I will be in the Austin area (more specifically north of it in Pflugerville) for a 4 day weekend this weekend. I want to try and play a few courses, in that area, while I am there. I see that I have a good # (15+) of choices within a 30 minute drive. I played a couple of courses last time I was in the Austin area: Old Settlers Park in Round Rock...it has a 969 foot hole. I played at this one in Dunedin, FL that was also a ball golf course. You had to rent a cart for like $5. It was a Fly 18 course (had those black mats for teepads). www.fly18.com AAby Ascension Acer - General Discussion
