I lost a brand new KC Pro Aviar with the NO Team stamp on hole #12 at City Park. It has the number 10 on the front (that's my mark). It cost me 2 separate OB strokes, so I'm not all that desperate to get it back. However, if you just happen to find it and bring it back to Mobile.......I guess I could give it another chance. Thanks! Tommy Norman Mobile, AL (251)232-3307by tendisc - SN Tournament Information
Both parks looked great! I had fun meeting sll the older players from all over the south. Now, I'm really feeling my age.by tendisc - SN Tournament Information

Unfortunately, as the sport grows, so do the odds of having lazy, selfish idiots lowering the quality of the atmosphere and fun that makes disc golf so enjoyable. There will always be those people who think that they should be able to do whatever they want to do, no matter how it affects other people or the environment. The reality is that it's a reflection of our society today. Children who wereby tendisc - General Discussion
This should be up to the TD. I volunteered to TD a couple of tournaments in Gulfport several years ago, and there weren't a lot of people willing to play in 105 degree weather. So, there was one open player and one pro master. There was a plaque and prize money involved, We talked about it and agreed on a solution. In my opinion, if only one or two guys show up for a certain division, they competby tendisc - General Discussion
On a side note about aces, I just recently had a first. I have aced the same hole with the same disc twice now. I aced #1 at Muni with the same Glo Roc twice.by tendisc - General Discussion

Always make sure you have extra clothes with you in case it rains or in case you have to go swimming for your discs. Btw, you're not required to use a mini. You can just step behind your disc if you want to, but don't flip it over or pick it up and throw it.by tendisc - General Discussion
Above anything else, play your game as much as you can. If you normally go for the basket when you drive, don't try laying up unless you have practiced laying up for several weeks before the tournament. Remember, a tournament is not the time to try new things. The hardest thing about your first tournament is trying to relax and not be so nervous that you tighten up. Try listening to music or someby tendisc - General Discussion
James, I think it all depends on your style and your putter. I prefer a flat, straight putt with a stable (not over or under) putter. I have also seen the guys you're atlking about, but I tend to gravitate towards Matt Orum's style the most. Matt actually doesn't anhyzer, even though it may seem that way. If you stand behind him and watch his putter in flight, it's pretty straight the entire wayby tendisc - General Discussion
Hmmmm. Good point of interest, Jazz. I think that's a balance issue. I use the same pre-putt ritual (for lack of a better word) every time I putt, one way for straddle-putting and a different way for off-set putting. When I putt in the off-set position, I always come to a complete rest before the actual putt. As a matter of fact, here's my whole ritual from beginning to end : 1. No judging here, Zinger. This topic is for everyone's benefit. Unfortunately, that may be why the usual forum junkies aren't commenting. I'd really like to hear from some of the guys who have changed their putting styles and/or putters over the years. Why did you switch? has it improved your putting? I've kept the same basic putting style since I started, with varying degrees of success. Honestlyby tendisc - General Discussion
Straddle putting to me is about consistent straight ahead motion. I bring the putter straight to my stomach and push it straight at the basket. I use this style a lot in the woods or on hilly courses. I like using a nose-down pity when putting downhill. The one issue I had when I started learning this style was the tendency to pull the putt to the right. I think its because I'm used to the off-seby tendisc - General Discussion
Thanks, James, but this is more about bouncing thoughts and ideas off of each other than trying to find instructional videos.by tendisc - General Discussion
Justin, I've noticed that the Champion plastic tends to be grippier than DX or KC Pro plastic, but less than Star or CFR plastic. Obviously, this can vary from disc to disc, but this seems to be the trend I've noticed. Cody, thank you. I want to try to use this forum as more than just to list events or complaints. I have had many people throughout the years who took the time to share their idby tendisc - General Discussion
I've had lots of people ask me about the different styles people use for putting and driving, and I thought this might be a good topic to discuss on this forum. First, let me start out by saying that there isn't just one good style for anything in disc golf. I believe everyone should practice different styles and go with what works best for you. I do believe that a couple of styles are more consiby tendisc - General Discussion
I lost a CFR Starfire and a Katana on hole#1 at City Park. Both can stay in, as far as I care. I lost a Star Destroyer on hole#4 at City Park, and I would pay good money to get it back. It was a Father's Day gift from my daughter. I pulled it right, just past a clump of trees next to the ditch. It has my initials on it. TEN Tommy Normanby tendisc - General Discussion
Brilliant! No sarcasm, I'm being serious. We had a contentious topic about the quality of baskets in SN tournaments, and one main argument was about money for upgrading baskets. I had other suggestions, but this is even better. I hope some of the people I talked to on that topic will see this and follow your lead. Tommy Normanby tendisc - General Discussion
The extra holes at City Park were AWESOME! As a matter of fact, I liked them much better than many of the regular 18 holes. Maybe you could keep the extra holes and get rid of #11, 18 and the one by the baseball field. It's not because I didn't do well on those holes. I made a double circle 6 on hole 1 and I still think it's a good one. I just think the extra holes were better.by tendisc - SN Tournament Information

You da man, PB. Is Muni gold set up with all the baskets? Sadly, I haven't played enough to know.by tendisc - SN Tournament Information
I guess it comes down to your own opinion and throwing style. I'd rather have 22 discs and be able to throw them all with the same motion and have them fly their normal pattern than try to force a disc to do different things. For instance, I carry 5 Rocs in my bag that all fly differently, from over to under stable. I can throw them all with the same basic style and they usually (key word) fly thby tendisc - General Discussion
