Today's the day. Come one, come all to test out the proposed design for the New Orleans area's newest disc golf course. The baskets should be in place by 4 pm and you can tee off as late as 5:30 pm or so and still finish your round. Beautiful, perfect day with a bit of breeze. Should be fun.

UPDATE NOTeamers have continued to scout the available land, and course designer Bluff Magee has met with the park's engineer and director to discuss our preliminary layout, restrictions and locations of crosswalks and bridges. Mike, Don, Josh and I have been out to the park in the past couple of weeks to continue to look for the best holes. We've made good progress. The park will be putt

This evening the Board of Directors for Recreation District #1 in St. Tammany Parish voted to approve funding for a disc golf course at Pelican Park on Hwy 190 in eastern Mandeville, La. CE Viper Unbelievably reliable disc for short hard hyzers, skip shots and forehand rollers. Should be illegal. Proto (pre-1st run) Magnets (Thanks, Steve Timm) I think Rivers S. uses them, too, but there just aren't that many available.
