A very wise man once told me: "If you gave everyone a gold Rolex, someone would complain about it's weight." Bravo Brian, Zac, Jim and crew. I will be there to support you guys. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Robby, Jim Gregory would be the best person to send it to. Do you know how to get in touch with him? If not PM me or contact him using the contact info at the beginning of this thread. Thanks for the support. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
So should we cancel the group camp reservation? Not a single reply here. I would rather open it up to someone else considering it is a holiday weekend. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Clayton, I will get will Zac (Pro TD). Knock $10 off of your entry fee check. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@Keith Now that was funny. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
So Memphis get bashed if we: "enforce rules" or "Don't enforce rules". Wow. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@tax ouch, lol. I never come up short (that's what she said). :) For specifics of the PP, Brian Friedman (Am TD) will be posting them as soon as they are finalized. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@tax "lol, seems like they have some of last years stuff in them ;((((" It looks that way because it is last year's post about the players package. I believe dmzich was quoting last year's pp for context. This year's pp will be different. @Dillon It will @tax "And why only one tourney stamped disc?" It will have more than one disc. Please review the corrected, corrected payout. Clayton, we did not get together, do you want us to mail you a check? Thanks, Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@cruncky I may be wrong here but, I don't think the SNAC is a PDGA sanctioned event. Therefore, the PDGA rule you cited does not apply. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@hilltopper I am leaning toward your line of reasoning. Bigger is not always better. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@hobbit489 you are correct sir. I grabbed the wrong number. (14th Hell on the Border...just above the SNAC) See what happens when you hurry through a post. :) Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
@taxman no. I was wondering what the SN consensus was. There really isn't a rule. But looking back the numbers (previous SNAC and SNPC) looked interesting. Some events were capped, some were not. Attendance was: 2009 – Am – 111 2009 – Pro – 93 2008 – Am – 114 2008 – Pro – 144 2007 – Am – 132 2007 – Pro – 119 2006 – Am – 144 2006 – Prby scleary1 - General Discussion
What is the interest from the SN community for the championships to rent out the group camp at Shelby Forest. And charge $5 per person per night? It sleeps 140 people. Rental costs $210 per night. If we have more than 60 people it is an additional $3.50 per person. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
And if so what is the magic number? Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
I second what Zac said. Let your game do your talking. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Quite honestly the invite system is more of a ceremonial thing. Every year the field/fields are open to anyone with any SN points. And the events still have room/are not full. I would worry less about invites and more about how you are getting to Memphis :) Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion

Eric Tracy Pro Men Player of the Year: Clayton Nash Clayton is a great guy to be around. Throws like a champ and behaves like a gentleman. Pro Women's player of the year: Jamie Abernathy Class act. Calls it like she sees it, without insulting anyone. Great golfer. Kary Rogers Am Player of the Year: Trey Daniels This young man has grown into the sport. Leslie, I got your PM. Thanks, Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Dylan Thanks. I will look into it with the TD. If this list is in error we will adjust accordingly. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
I have been told that for a golf course to be eligible for the championships it must have hosted a SN event during the season/year. I can't find an answer in the guidlines. Is this true? Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Taxman, Deconstruct much? My questions remain. Are the guidelines correct? If this clause is in error (and it is still in the guidelines) how are we, as a club, supposed to know what to do? Any other sections of the SNPC or SNAC guidelines wrong? Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Scott, Sorry. $31 is the correct amount (looked at the wrong number). $31 is what will be sent. Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
For the record. Although I appreciate the "way to go Shawn's", this was not a one man resolution. The real thanks goes to the MDGC officers and Board members and Jeff Karl in particular. Without them this correction would not have been possible. Additionally, although I may disagree with some of the verbiage posted to this forum, I am glad the SN family saw a problem and brby scleary1 - General Discussion
Jabba (Doug), Done. $26 sponsor for the SNPC MPM division in Doug William's name (or do you want it listed as Jabba?). Thanks, Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
Robert, Done. $25 sponsor for the SNPC MPGM division in Robert McDonald's name. Thanks, Shawnby scleary1 - General Discussion
