Geez, the reviews on DGCR are from ordinary golfers....not people who wrote a review/didn't rate it high just to piss you all off. The DGCR lists and ratings are 100% subjective. It's not a big deal, don't let it bother you. As a matter of fact, I spend my Internet time on DGCR.com 10 to 1 vs SNDG.org. The trolling there isn't nearly as bad as here....and people don't just hate on others so

My name was misspelled from the Back Bay Battle. My name is Mike Lafleur, but it is misspelled as 'Lefleur'. It's a whopping 6 points.... Simple. Ask for donations at events. Ask for donations via the forums. Have a charity event where the proceeds go towards a cause. Don't take SN fees and use them for charity. Don't let this thread turn into 'this persons agenda against this person', these forums already have way too much of that happening....

Yeah, I realize the ratings on the app are not accurate, and I'm not advocating that we use those ratings by any means. I was just stating that the app does give a very approximate rating. As someone who's never played a PDGA event, nor am I a member of the PDGA, it's cool to get some kind of an idea of what my round ratings are.

I agree 100% that divisions need to be based on ratings. I feel confident it would force many players to move up a division. Zinger, your basketball comparison holds no weight. Apples to Oranges man. Local leagues allow pro-level golfers to play in weekly events, so I don't see where you thought that was going.... I know I get frustrated seeing the same names at the top of the AM leaderboa

Bumping up fees by $1 would provide MORE than enough to design and run a site.....it would cause an abundance of overflow cash to the SN. Lets say a tourney averages 50 players with at least 6 tournaments in a month by 12 months, that's $3600, and that figure is on the LOW side..... *edit: and as far as apps go, PDGA has an app that can estimate round ratings for iOS

Glad to see that you're staying with no more than 5 per card....part of the deciding factor before I pre-registered is that the groups will be reasonably sized....I've played in tourneys w/6-7 on a card and it makes for a longgggg day....

Matt D has not been able to run the ECDGC Fling for Food due to work for a couple of months, so I've been running the toss. Anyway, after the time changed, I've decided rather than discontinue the toss, we're moving it to Saturdays in Gulf Breeze at 10am.

Not that I have many points....but when I look up 'Mike Lafleur' it gives me previous seasons points, however at Wally Free my name is listed how it is actually spelled 'Mike LaFleur' (capitial F in the last name). I think maybe that's why my points aren't linked with my other points..... If it can be corrected, I'd prefer to be listed as 'Mike LaFleur' with the capitial F in my last name

I thought this thread was for me, lol. I am a season ticket holder since the dome re-opened after Katrina. Hopefully in the off-season we can hammer out some of our defensive kinks.
