Orange Beach Disc Golf Course - 2 days ago
Orange Beach Alabama has joined the ranks of cities with a disc golf course. A nine hole pitch and putt course is being installed on the shore of Terry's cove off of Canal Road next to the dog park. With an incredible view of the water and the pass under Alabama Point Bridge it is the first step in the process of bringing Orange Beach into the disc golf world. They tell me F'ing Fowler and Logan Wiese put it on the locals and a team from P'Cola slipped into second! OUCH... way to go guys and sounds like we Mobilians need to step it up!!! Longtime Chickasabogue Discgolfer Rob Autry Has Passed Away - 21 days ago
Long time discgolfer and all around good guy, Rob Autry, has passed away here in Mobile. One of the original core at Chickasabogue Park, he was a well liked guy and a fixture at the disc golf course for many years. A friend to many, he was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. 3 x 90 = 290 , that will solved the problem for next year for sure!!!! But it does mean that one pool will NOT get to play South...... could do Saturday ams and Sunday pro and you would only need 2 courses. Whatever you do, It will still be a great event as ALWAYS.by Flyerbud - General Discussion

There are more one day tourneys than 2 day in SNs, yours and PoG are just more successful for several reasons, first both have momentum from years past, second you both do a good job of raising EXTRA cash through sponsors and the selling of discs, thirdly , it is put on by a GROUP instead of a one man show. Yes they do... part of the problem!!! And when you have 40 am teams and 7 pro teams, so the payout is larger for ams than for pro, what then??? And what is an am... they are who plays for prizes, not cash. Yes they love it, but like I said you are opening a can of worms, seen it before! Shane should get a hole with tee pads....that is my point !!! 35 pads were installed but because of the ditch and the thought of doing ALL the blues in concrete for a championship level set, we did not do 15 (it is both white and blue for that hole).by Flyerbud - General Discussion
