This is to inform all the old time Baton Rouge players (and those that played there) that one of our own passed away this past Tuesday. Cory Clark, little brother of Ryan Clark, also know as PLAG (putts like a girl), was killed in a car accident Tuesday night in Baton Rouge. What is unfortunate about this whole situation is that when the SN Handbook was printed in 2005, no one caught the fact that the SN was redefining the calendar year as June to May instead of Jan to Dec. In the past - to try and make it simple for all cities involved - the determining tournament was held in the city that had last hosted the LA States, and it should be a good time before the time to give the winner time to get ready. Most cities have one big 2 day tournament (W. Monroe - ORO / S-Port - Sport City Open / Lafayette - Spring Fling etc...) and you know in advance what weekend to ask

What are the REAL problems with the SN Disc Golf Series? is the question that needs to be asked of the masses. Is sandbagging a "tournament series" problem or a "local club" problem? The folks in Fairhope, AL. poured concrete down the pole of the basket closest to the road (and had been stolen twice I think). It makes it super sturdy, and changes the sound of the disc hitting the chains, but they couldn't hack saw it off, or move it cause it is very heavy. Back when I started - my payout scale was 50% to Am's (with 1st not getting over $100 no matter how many show), 40% to Advanced with 1st not going over $125, and 33% in the Pro divisions (with the plus 1 whenever possible) I also believe that 1st place should be more than one entry fee over 2nd in all pro divisions. I have paid out half an entry fee to the last place cash winners for gas money
