FWTK Tournament Details June 8-9, 2013 PDGA C-tier Weekend Schedule Two rounds will be played at Veterans Park original and Thunderchief courses. In trying to verify Discjazz's post I see that according to the 2012 Handbook, if I read it correctly, the Novice division is not even a valid division any longer in the SNDG. Yes, new and old rules bring in a whole new aspect to the matter. I've only relayed the way it's been dealt with in the past and how it still seems to be unclear to many. I wish that whoever decides to change, or to leave it be, the best of wisdom in this matter.

There is a lack of rules and definition for the novice division, therefore, how is the TD to determine said rules? For clarity sake, what is a publication conflict?

True. In the scheme of things both Novice and Recreational divisions are incidental to TD's. More concern is required for the higher divisions. A TD does not want or need to verify how many time a person has played Novice. It is of no concern to me as a TD as to how many times a player chooses to play novice. The issue here, or pardon my "backward logic", is that there is NO CLARITY as to what defines a novice player. Historically, many, many TD's have considered it a "one time" opportunity for a player to learn the ropes of tournament play. Just how many tournaments does it take for a player

#9 was moved yesterday evening to King position with O.B. marked. All baskets will be moved to Round 1 position this afternoon around 3 or 4. Will try and start taking early registrations about 4pm behing Rockin' Robin ....

Weather forecast: Saturday, Sunny 82 degrees, Sunday Sunny 89 degrees. We're talking perfect weather. For those around Friday afternoon practicing or checking out the course, someone will be there (behing Rockin' Robin) from 4pm til 8pm for anyone wanting to register.

FWTK 2012 Registration / Sign Up PDGA members receive a $10. Most have told me it's easier to give the discount than ask someone for an extra $10 ... especially in Mississippi where there are few PDGA tourney's.

Saturday's round one will be 29 holes. Sunday's round two will be 24 holes. So it's still only 1 holes shy of being a total of three rounds! Saturday's round should finish early enough for a SNDC practice round at Trace Gold, or a visit to the Elvis Festival!

There has been no change in the tournament. People speaking without having knowledge has become much too prevelant within disc golf circle. Truly a pity. :( All TD functions have already been completed. Bramlitt is the TD with my assistance. Predefined deadlines for points and exemption prior to tournaments is a flaw. It creates this type of chaos for TD's. They don't need it. That is the flaw.

Disorganization. Did he have points? No? Yes? Maybe? He said he did, so did they? Who is right? Who is wrong? The TD doesn't remember! It boils down to a flaw in the system.
