Here's my view from an Am's perspective. I've never really been presented with a good reason to buy a SNDG tag. I've bought a few local club tags throughout the years, but only when I knew I'd be playing at their courses often or when some kind of weekly tag toss was involved. I keep thinking of this from another disc golf point of view... How many of you attend a local weekly toss that has an ace pot?? When the ace pot gets built up, how do you feel when an out-of-towner comes in specifically for a chance at the ace pot and takes it home, never to be seen again until the pots is built back up. Are the Baker kids just doing disc golf or are they also learning Ultimate. The reason I ask is becuase this year I started a Disc Sports club at Baldwin County High and my kids have consistently been asking for some friendly competition outside of the club. I hate the idea of worst shot. It can effectively take out one person in a team just as much as best score can. Alternate shot seems to be the only way to really get both partners involved. But as Alternate shot goes, do most of you play that the team decides who gets to tee off or the person on the team who didn't hole out drives?? Is only a wolfed hole worth one skin from each player? Otherwise in the example above for hole one shouldn't Player B and D each get 2 skins (all 4 other players paying one out? And for hole 6 should the group of 4 only get 1/2 skin each (only 2 people lost and therefore only 2 skins should be paid out)? First off, let me say that I looked forward to the SNAC all year. I even played in extra tournaments to make sure I qualified/prepaired myself for such a competition. In every area the SNAC met or exceeded my expectations. But I can't stand when people use false statistics to make points.
