A theoretical question came up in discussion today. Per the $2 mulligan off the Tee, $3 for all others, and $5 birdie anytime... If a player shanks his tee and calls for a mulligan for $2, then shanks his mulligan, can he buy a birdie for an additional $3 (2+3=5), or should he pay for the mulligan ($2) he called, plus ($5) for the birdie? Robby Harris makes a good suggestion. Using an "Early Bird" special price or extra goodies with a deadline is a good incentive. Or, adding $5 to the cost of registering on the day of event would encourage me to pre-register. For example, the Tishomingo Fall Classic limited player's packs to the first 50 paid entries. I couldn't find a clear-cut answer, so I post this scenerio for feedback. Mandy (15-year old daughter) and I want to team up and play in the Mississippi State Doubles Championship. I usually play Am Men division, Mandy has cashed in Pro Women several times. Question: Knowing I can't play as her partner in the Pro Women or Juniors divisions, can Mandy play as my partner in the Am Men's

A true pleasure meeting Lance. I visited the course several times prior to the Classic and Lance was on the course every time, working away! Great job, brother! Thanks for the extra effort to make the course safe for all players over the weekend. For those who don't know, Lance spent his Saturday tournament rounds WORKING on Tushka Run. Thank you Lance!

I can't reveal my source, but I've learned what's in the MYSTERY BOX. It really is a WOW AND A HALF!! Whoever walks away with the MYSTERY BOX will be one happy camper. I've never entered an ACE POT at a tournament, but this one is well worth the exception. Matthew has outdone himself again!

Good post Shawn. Technology offers many online meeting service options. BOD members can conduct a meeting live online and make it available to any SN member who wishes to attend. I think service settings might allow only BOD to engage in dialogue, while "guests" can listen only, but submit typed questions and comments on a message board. It's not super cheap or overly expensive,

Met Lance, who was working on the course over Labor Day weekend. Faked him out about why they were putting out "deer feeders." haha Boy Scouts will be installing benches and signs on Saturday, September 26. Working to have about 20 scouts and leaders donating a few hours of brush clearing too!

I observe one of the reasons the Am has a larger payout is simple mathematics. The number of Amateurs entering a local event is nearly always larger than the Professional fielding at any given tournament. Got 10 benches (18"wide x 60" long) coming soon. They are 90% complete. The Eagle Scout I'm working with is scheduling a work day to put them in the ground. This weekend, I cut out 15 "Next Tee" signs. They are arrowhead shaped like the ones I've seen on the Chickasaw Trails course. Still need to route the letters and paint them.
