Joey, we will offer any division which has sufficient demand for a competitive field. If you want to sign up now, go Advanced Masters and I will solicit requests for an Advanced Grandmasters division. If others want it, one will be offered and I can move you into it then.
Let's hear from other Adv GM - anyone else want this division offered?

Jason, with a new course in a new area, y'all can expect there to be some expenses in the near future, especially when the momentum gets going and you decide to start hosting tournaments.
In Lafayette, Sunday doubles is our thing.
Blind draw of your partner from a deck of cards matching suit & color (ace of spades & ace of clubs are a team, ace of hearts/diamonds, etc...).

Doug, I consider everything the players leave the tournament with - cash & prizes - as "event value" including the things they are treated to such as free food & drink.
I consider "payout" to be the cash won by pros and merchandise won by ams for performance in their respective division.
When I put up the results, I post a spreadsheet where this is broken down

@Joe Kool - I don't read the forum every day and I just saw this. Please let Tyler know about this and see if he wants to put a division up for grabs this weekend. AM WOMEN would be a good one, but he gets to make the call.

Our Spring Fling took a little nap this year because of the SNDC. Next year it will be back with a vengance.
Don't discount a city's location in the SN "territory" when looking at the numbers - far west, east and north make it harder to draw from the major population centers & the geographic "middle".

We (ADGA) sent certified letters to the mayors of both Broussard & Youngsville about including Disc Golf in the plans for their respective parks projects when they were announced last year after the funding proposals passed in elections.
Youngsville's park has no Disc Golf potential. It is basically sugar cane fields being turned to soccer & ball fields and it is going to be small.

Ryan, we will be giving away the free SNDC entry for Juniors at this tournament but the kids will have to accept merchandise players packs because of the nature of the hotel booking and the way it will be set up.

SPONSORS
In January, we discussed giving the Spring Fling a year off because of our commitment to this year's SNDC but in the end, we decided to run it as a scaled back version of its usual self and make it a fundraiser tournament.
Instead of an all out blitz to raise money for players packs and big payouts, we simply stated "We are accepting small cash and merchandise sponsorships

Jason, we will put out an APB for your disc. I checked the lost and found and it was not turned in at the tournament so it is probably still in the woods.
My apologies for the delay in posting results. I returned home from playing doubles this morning to plumbing trouble at the house. Look for results and a recap tomorrow.

We installed the new signs @ Acadiana this morning...
Pretty snazzy!
The placard beneath the sign indicates the hole number on the "original" course which is still the favorite layout of many Disc Golfers.
The old park is looking good. We will be out there tomorrow morning making one last pass with the weedeaters and putting all of the tournament markings.

I agree, 12 & 13 are my least favorite holes in terms of course design. I actually like 11 but it may have to change slightly to make room for modifications to 12 & 13. The trees on 12 & 13 give a nice canopy but provide little physical separation of space at ground level so there is sort of an open field look to that area when you are playing a round.

Jim, Sunday doubles is random draw using a deck of cards.
Cost is $7 assuming you want in on the rolling ace pot which is $1, if not it is $6. $5 is for payout and $1 goes to the club's treasury.
The ace pot rolls on a park-by-park basis meaning we have one for Acadiana, one for Pa Davis and now Heymann (this will be the first one so it won't be really big yet).
If we have an odd numb
