Actually reading these SN rules is giving me a headache. Let us know what the current interpretation is, and who can do whatever they want and who can't, according to the childish whims of certain BoD members. Oh and when you really feel like amusing us give us a treasurer report.

SN Rule 1.5 says: "1.5 A player's Amateur Status and divisional classification for a singles event, SNAC or SNPC is not changed or affected by competing or accepting awards of any kind in a SNDG doubles tournament and/or the SNDG Doubles Championship." Now I know you all are not going to try and claim that Rule 1.5 is not valid. So you can't claim that you can't sanction a SN

It says they are damage-proof, and don't take cash. Only credit/debit cards and cellphone payments, so there ain't no cash for theives to steal.

The ratings at DG Course Review are not intended to rate them based on how hard they are. They're a score of opinions of the courses, and they're very subjective, not particularly scientific. The scores of courses include intangibles like how well the grass is cut, how good the signs are, what kind of tee boxes and baskets are there, and various other amenities. The point is that you should encourage the SN to grow and improve, rather than sit there and make excuses for why you can't do it. By the way I haven't quit doing the ratings, it's just that they're secret now. Maybe the next BoD will be smart and wise enough to bring them back.

Don't let a couple of bitter SN BoD quitters' combined ignorance keep you new players from speaking your mind. There is absolutely nothing wrong with expressing that you want the SN to improve. Fortunately or unfortunately, it's going to take new people on the SN BoD to move the series forward. But it's not easy. Keith & Terry both quit the BoD when they found out work was involved :) , n
