Actually, the Alabama Slammer is still a qualifier event, but it is not a Premier Qualifier and only gets you into the 1st round (Wednesday next year). If you make the top 20 out of the 1st round, then you get to play the championships. If you don't make top 20, you go to the First Flight championships.by hobbit489 - General Discussion

4-person tournament, NCDGC style - 4 weeks ago
I'm thinking of running a tournament in the fall (November) where you will compete as a 4-person team to help raise money for the University of South Alabama disc golf teams' return to Nationals in 2014. If everything falls into place, USA should have 2 very strong teams for next year. However, I do not like the way you seem to start petty drama just because you're bored and want to entertain yourself. NCDGC We had a rough morning round yesterday. After some lineup changes to shake things up a little bit, we came back with a solid 10 under par in the afternoon to put us back inside the top 10. We are currently tied for 9th, but only 9 strokes behind the leaders heading into 2 rounds of singles action today. Go South! NCDGC We're sitting in a pretty good spot. We got to witness UAH absolutely destroy Hogback course, but our guys definitely held their own (tied for 4th--6 strokes back of the leaders) in very cold, rainy, and windy conditions.by hobbit489 - General Discussion

After expenses were taken out, you guys helped us raise a cool $1000 for the USA Disc Golf Team....thank you again everyone! Jim Turner would like his points and $2 placed into the Grandmaster division. USA was played first round. Municipal was played 2nd round. Short tees are laid out at USA. Hole 12 does not have a short tee, Hole 15's short tee is concrete, everything else is marked by two flags and a white line. I wanted to let everyone know that $10 will be deducted from each person's entry fee as part of the fundraising effort for the team. The remaining $10 will go to payout with the other $2 going to pay SN sanctioning fees. I realize this may cause some people to not participate, but I'd rather be up front about this than "spring" it on people during the tournament.
