I agree the food should not be an issue. Its a shame that the bureaucrats have to try and grab a piece of the pie every time. Look forward to Wall Doxey both courses together make this a Disc Golf Destination. I hope everyone turns out in force and have a good time while being the kind of guests that would make the State Park System proud.

Gary, I agree we as golfers should try to make this years tourney a record shattering event. Not only that but show up and be the kind of guests that will impress our host park, avoid any drama, and show how much the course means to us and in turn show the state how much golfers can benefit the Park system. I apologize for my wording and that I indicated that the course was already gone. I simply meant that based on the info I had received it was a foregone conclusion that the course was closing and the 27 baskets being moved to Tupelo. I got info this past weekend that the Park took up the course and got rid of their baskets. Its a sad day for North MS when you lose a course, any course. The course at Wall Doxey (Turkey Hollow) was one of my favorites and I made many treks to the park. Short but technical, tough but fair, any score near or below par was well earned. Four different weather websites and forecasts range from 20%-60%, Rain in the amount of 1/10-1/4 of an inch mostly early morning. But all agree that it will be windy with gust upwards to 30 MPH. I will take a wait and see approach Sunday Morning, I do not want my delicate features marred by rain and wind.

Had a good time at Doxey for Doubles, Good Weather and played with Good cards. Had a Great Partner also. Only thing that bummed the weekend was the news that Turkey Hollow is being taken down. Don't know the reason and don't understand, but one of favorite destinations for disc golf is going to take a hit. While Spring Creek is a good course, just do not know how often I will make the trip for it

Not going to put any ideas out for this tournament, Head has run many events and has a good track record. With that said I would like to put an idea out for consideration on future events pertaining to doubles. We used to play a lot of golf tournaments (ball) and one format we used was using points instead of a score. For example pars would be worth 1 point, birdies 3, and eagles 5. Bogey was 0

Well run, great cards, and a very good payout for a modest entry fee. Had everything a player could of wanted except DRY conditions. Oh well, you can't have everything. One thing about the course, love the layout, but you guys need a fundraiser for improvement to your tees. Some very short, and others under mud when it rains. I will not be attending this weekend as I am in constant pain now due to the joints in my left leg. I would love to be able to play but I go back Monday to the Dr. AGAIN, and pay more money AGAIN, and get to try something different AGAIN. Maybe one of these different treatments will actually work.
