Actually, the Alabama Slammer is still a qualifier event, but it is not a Premier Qualifier and only gets you into the 1st round (Wednesday next year). If you make the top 20 out of the 1st round, then you get to play the championships. If you don't make top 20, you go to the First Flight championships.

I'm thinking of running a tournament in the fall (November) where you will compete as a 4-person team to help raise money for the University of South Alabama disc golf teams' return to Nationals in 2014. If I get to attend, I'd rather play 2 rounds of 18 on Saturday with one round of 27 on Sunday....especially if you're doing skills competitions on Sunday.

NCDGC We had a rough morning round yesterday. After some lineup changes to shake things up a little bit, we came back with a solid 10 under par in the afternoon to put us back inside the top 10. NCDGC We're sitting in a pretty good spot. We got to witness UAH absolutely destroy Hogback course, but our guys definitely held their own (tied for 4th--6 strokes back of the leaders) in very cold, rainy, and windy conditions.

Short tees are laid out at USA. Hole 12 does not have a short tee, Hole 15's short tee is concrete, everything else is marked by two flags and a white line. Novice, Juniors, and Am women will play from these tees at USA and the red tees at Municipal. Everyone else will play concrete at both courses.

I wanted to let everyone know that $10 will be deducted from each person's entry fee as part of the fundraising effort for the team. The remaining $10 will go to payout with the other $2 going to pay SN sanctioning fees. I realize this may cause some people to not participate, but I'd rather be up front about this than "spring" it on people during the tournament. Added to the Raffle
