There were two sets of tee pads in the design. They are putting them in as they have more funds in the budget. Lot's of room for the back nine.

So true, Tom. Team Blue shirts did a great job as did the Parks and Rec people. They sold every hole sponsor, had chicken and sausage biscuts for everyone, water all over the course and 2 rest rooms are always open. Very easy on the players . Could be the biggest and best first time event ever at a new course down South.?

Go north to Montevallo. It is on campus in the bottom right hand corner. Take the second (Shelby Co. airport ) exit and follow the signs. Park next to the gym at #1. It is fairly short and open.

Always enjoyed playing in a group with Carlo. I heard that the Parks Dept saw a pix of a Pole Hole. They knew it had chains and some kind of basket. Must have been around 77 ? The Pole Hole and the PDGA were around for a few years before the first PDGA Worlds in 82. KOA had targets in 77/78. Eric Marx was an IFA Junior Champion before he moved to Texas. Another great player.

Don has that killer Thumber roller because he was a top rated Guts player. Check out Guts Frisbee on YouTube sometime. Before he left Chicago for Texas, he won just about every golf event that summer with that awesome roller.

Buddy, I just designed the course at Muni. The city came up with the (waste) baskets. You had to stand next to it and drop the disc in vertically.

The very first PDGA tournament was held at Styx River. It was not an overall, so it was probably not called the AL. States. That happend in Huntsville or Florence. A few times in Mobile at the Bouge. A few years back, we had a rule in Florida. If a player wins 3 times in a season, he moves up. Everyone knew it and did it.

If it really is a Tone Pole, like the ones sold a few years ago, then you may not need the chains to hear the "tone" ring out when hit.

Why won't this page list the exact PDGA page? Go to PDGA.com and click on Pro Tour. Scroll down the page. I have listed the exact page , but all that shows is the home page, weird.
