I just looked at the list of past winners. It is good to see my name in black and white even if it was from YEARS ago. 2002 novice champ baby! that means I started playing in October of 2001. I think I was better then than I am now. I have to work this weekend as usual but I will try to stop by. Ya'll have fun for me!

the SN needs their own rating system, the PDGA rating is only accurate if you play PDGA tournaments, there are not many in the area. We could use the same system and that would make it an easy comparison between the two and make it much smoother for dual sanctioned events. There is no sense in re-inventing the wheel. bagging is whole other topic and we have discussed this before. A rating system is needed. I do enjoy a good players pack! I will gladly pay $30-$40 to play a tournament and get a tee-shirt, a star disc and maybe a little something else (mini, sticker, towel...) and then have the remote chance at winning something else. Russ, is this helping your thoughts at all?

I am in agreement with you on players packs making up a good portion of the payout. I do feel payout should be pretty good to the top 3, they earned it. (only if they are not bagging) obvious baggers should get nothing!

Zinger, sorry for the harsh comment, no ideas are dumb. I just don't agree with you. you cannot expect all ams to ever be able to compete against pros. some, like myself, are ams for life and know it, but we still like to compete with our peers at the same talent level and have a chance to bring a home a prize.

I am well aware that the discs are bought at wholesale and given as prizes at retail. that is how the money is added to the pro purse. crepe myrtles are great, they multiply from the roots and you can transplant them. they can grow to 10-12ft in a few years and I have seen some older ones close to 20ft. pear trees grow fast too but have poor root structure and blow over easily 'don't water the marigolds on tuesday, they'll be watching"

scratch that I just looked at the pictures and remembered why I never posted them. first off it was the 2007 SNPC. second it was not an ace but it did hit chains and bounce out third, it was getting dark and the camera did not focus in on the disc with the slower shutter speed and no flash so the pics are just a blur. sorry I only thought I had that cool of pic

I have one like that from the '08 SNPC at Cottage Hill Park hole 16. I got about 3 shots of the disc flying toward the basket. I think the camera froze on the shot of the disc going in. I will have to see if I can find them. can't remember who it was that made the shot though.
